So basically the title says it all, am looking at sorting thank you gifts out and am getting all the men lucky sixpences on keychains with a little message. Have got "to .... thank you for being our usher", "to.... thank you for being our best man" and "to father of the groom" ones, but my uncle is giving me away and want to word it in a way that says thank you for everything and for giving me away, but in a way that comes from both of us. Was thinking of going for something a bit less 'formal' like:
"(name) Thank you for everything! You made a great bride giver awayer today Love from...."
But does that sound okay, or does it sound really stupid?
Thanks xxx

That sounds good to me.
My dad is giving me away and I've got him personalised golf balls and Personalised golf Tees.
Has your uncle got a hobby you could give him something to do with that :)
Cant wait until I become Mrs K

Thanks hun :-) xx he doesn't really have any hobbies like that, I know he likes a few things but not enough to get something like that for a gift. He likes a drink now and again, but I've been married before and got him a tankard last time, so can't really get him another this time lol. :-) The keychains me and my h2b both like because it's something that will appeal to all our groomsmen, it's quite unique and can still fit the personalised message with it. Thank you for your suggestion though hun! xxx

Aww thanks MrsH-2b! :-) yeah, i felt it had a touch of humour about it without it being unsuitable xxx
If he likes Whiskey or something like that you could get him a tasting session you can get them quiet cheap as well.
We have got my H2B parents a day out in Kew Gardens with a picnic and my parents lunch at a roof top gardens in London (as they are always in London)
We have got our Bridesmaid an IOU as we want to get them a photo frame with a picture of us and them in it but we want to wait until our wedding pictures.
Cant wait until I become Mrs K

Aww they sound nice hun! :-) I don't know if he likes Whiskey or not though, I don't get to see him that often as we live so far apart, but have only ever really seen him drink beer. xxx

Hehe, we're getting them from the bay too! :-D they have fab stuff on there for gifts :-) we've held off buying for storage reasons as well, but am thinking might just have to go ahead and get gifts sorted (a couple of gifts for bridesmaids i'm looking at on there have recently gone up in price, so want to save myself some money before anything else goes up in price lol). xxx

Yeah that is true but ours isn't till 2015 (hopefully) so may wait a little longer to get gifts; at least until we have moved out :D
