Went to the wedding fair in Newcastle today and bought a 'White Again' teeth whitening system. Me and my H2B are gonna try it for two weeks to see if it works. Has anyone tried this before or know about it? I went to my dentist and he said it would cost nearly £400 to have it done so for £30 I'm not sure what this will be like. They said we could have our money back if it didn't work. I will keep you updated.

I've done my first application tonight but sat and googled it whilst I did. There's not much love for this system on the web. Apparently the active ingredient needs to be at least 10% for any effect and this one has 0.1%. Fat lot of good this'll do then What a waste of £30! Loads of ppl have said they've tried to get their money back and have heard nothing from the company. I don't think they should be allowed to trade at wedding fairs if it's complete bol**xs

Your better off just brushing your teeth with bicarbonate of soda! Cheap cheerful and safe... ok maybe not so cheerful as its not the best taste but Ive never heard anyone say it doesn't work.

In the US they have over the counter strips that are amazing. You can buy them off bay of e. I've used them and they really work. at the big wedding fair at the NEC last year a lady selling another brand of tooth whitening stuff got really shirty with me and said they were really bad for your teeth, but my teeth are fine, and my friend who uses them all the time went to the dentist expecting a telling off but instead they complimented her and said the strips were fine. Let me know if you want the brand name etc I think they are the best around tbh xx

Bicarb just tastes a bit iffy lol its not horrid, you can happily brush your teeth with it and then just wash your mouth out with mouth wash and the taste is gone. It does really work. I had an awful dentist when I was a kid and I'm left with a cap on my tooth that was gone brown and no other dentist will touch it unless I want the tooth removed! So I use bicarb every so often and its def made a difference. Pearl drops are another good one but you have to use it continuously twice a day for a long time before it really makes a difference! good luck x

Photoshop is a great free way to get your teeth white on photos and it doesn't cost you anything. Just ask your phtographer to do this when they edit the pics.

I had my teeth laser whitened in London last year and It's made such a difference a lot if people comment on them and I feel like I have a healthy teeth whereas before I just wanted to hide them.I used them whitening kits from the shops but they never work! If anyone is thinking about getting it done properly I would say go for it! It does depend on the shade of your teeth now as to how White they go though!

all thos gimmicks are trully a waste of money.

I paid £300 last year to have Veneers put on the first 4 front teeth... as im a smoker, and a red wine drinker
    and nothing i tried helped...

I have to agree about the home kits - no good.
Like Trish I was also a smoker and red wine/coffee drinker and nothing at home worked.

I had veneers put on (I had broken both my front teeth in a bike accident when I was a kid and had bad crowns on them) which involved all over whitening. It may have been pricey, but very much worth it.

The confidence you'll get from white teeth is amazing!

If you're thinking about it for your wedding photos, I'd suggest you rather get it done for real, rather than have someone like me photoshop your teeth.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to get mine professionally whitened before the wedding. I have wanted it done for aaages, and the wedding is the perfect reason to go ahead with it. There is a place local to me who charge £350 but twice a year they run a 'sale' and it only costs £200, needless to say I'm waiting for the sale!

I'm loving this thread! I hate my teeth, have done since I was a kid. I had train tracks and a head brace from the age of 17-22, then had an operation to realign my jaw. When the brace came off, years of smoking and drinking coffee and booze left my teeth stained. I had a baby tooth which they said they would leave because it's closing a gap that will never have a 2nd tooth, that rotted and infected the one next to it and then fel out. So now I have stained teeth, a gap and a tooth that is slowly rotting. The dentist told me that before the baby tooth came out I would have to have a brace to close the gap, I was 27 by this point and the day it fell out I decided to never see a dentist again. I'm now nervous about my wedding pics because I want everyone to see how happy I was on my wedding day but I can't smile properly in photos with a big goppin gap so I'm going to have to face my fears and see a dentist. I know it's going to cost a bomb but h2b supports me because he knows that I am so self conscious about the mess of my mouth.

I think I'm going to start with some bicarb tonight when I brush my teeth. Thanks ladies! x

I've got a gap on my left side from one of my teeth growing forwards out the top of my gum rather than downwards. It's always bugged me, my mum took me to the dentist when I was young and I was supposed to get braces but she never took me back and I've not been to a dentist since then. Can't really afford to right now either. Just have to make sure photographer gets my good side lol

I think I might join the bi-carb experiment, I don't do well with yucky tastes but it can't be that bad can it?! I'd love to have my teeth whitened but can't really afford it and I'd still have the gap between my front teeth anyway so would prob still be a bit self concious about them.
