    Hi

H2B and me are having our teeth whitened at lunchtime today, we know that we have to stick to a "white diet" for at least 48 hours afterwards. We've got a list of the foods on the diet but I really don't know how to make meals up from them with whats on the list!

I'm guessing some others on here have had this done, what did you eat for 2 days?!

Here's the list of what we can/can't eat.....
    White Diet Sheet
Drinks you can have Drinks not to have
Still or Sparkling Water, Tonic Water. Lemonade, Skimmed Milk only Tea ( deepest staining ), Coffee,Cola, Orange, No fizzy Drinks etc

Alcoholic Drinks (clear liquids only) Alcoholic not to have
Vodka, Malibu, Vodka Ice, Gin, White Wine Red Wine, Beer, Guiness, Any Alcohol with a colour!

Food must be white only Food not to have Vegetables
Chicken must be dry or boiled ( no fat ), Turkey, White Fish, White Rice, White Pasta with a white sauce only, Caulifower, Cottage Cheese Carrots, Peas, Sweetcorn, Broccoli, Green Beans, Sprouts, Mushrooms etc.

Potatoes you can have Food not to have Salad
Mashed, Boiled, Baked ( you must take the skin off ) No Beetroot, Tomatoes, Red/Green Lettuce, etc.

    Others
Cereal Keep to Rice Krispies with Skimmed Milk, nothing with wheat in it
Bread Keep away from Bread but you can have thin slice of White Pita Bread
Fruit Keep away from all fruit apart from Bananas because most fruit is Acidic
Sauces Keep away from sauces like Bolognaise but White Pasta sauce is fine. Note all creams, Margarine and Butter to avoid.
Sweets Chewing gum is fine but no Chocolates, Sweets, etc.
Smoking Keep from Smoking while on the White Diet but we do understand for some clients this would not be easy. In our aftercare kits we do provide trays that would fit onto your teeth so you could have drinks and also smoke.

Hiya Ladies please let me know how the teeth whitening goes? and if you would recommend it?? I'm not getting married until next year but it is definately something I am thinking about.

As for food to eat after I am unsure, but I am sure the teeth whitening consultant will be able to help you out :)

OMG sounds a nightmare, basically there is not much you can eat or drink apart from chicken and rice crispies!! I'm sure it will be worth it tho and you'll be really happy with the results. Let us know xx

Hi Zoe, just out of interest how much does it cost to have done? It's something I'm considering too, I was planning on talking to my dentist about it next week as I have my check up appointment. Was also considering asking about orthodontic work - had my teeth straightened as a kid but they've 'slipped' a bit. Or is that overkill...? :) x

I had mine done last year and was advised to avoid fags, coffee, tea, red wine and anything really bright. I would think you would be ok with pasta, chicken, bread, white/creamy sauces, etc. It is basically to avoid anything that would stain/dis-colour your teeth.

The results were really good but it does depend on the types of food/drink you consume not only directly after but onwards as coffee will always stain your teeth.

I had mine done by UV and someone came in to do it at my beauty salon i go too so we had a teeth whitening party.... i was advised the dentist is expensive as they make the moulds and then put the gel in the moulds but the moulds are expensive to make for a dentist whereas if you go under the lamps and have the gel put straight on then it works the same but cheaper and quicker. I paid £80 for the session xxx

How about a chicken carbonara? Or a Fish pie? Chicken Supreme minus ingredients such as red peppers?

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

BlackCat13 and roberta90, we bought a deal from one of the many deal websites so it cost us £39 each, the normal price was £299. I certainly wouldn't pay £299 but for £39 we're really happy with the results. We both went 5 shades lighter :)

The white diet is really boring, but it's worth it and it won't kill us! It does really make you think about what you eat/drink tho, going to try to avoid curry, etc until after the wedding now!

Hi BlackCat13, the offer was on one of the deal websites about a month ago. We knew we wanted ours doing so I just signed up to every deal website I could find and this deal came up so we jumped at it! Just sign up to them all, there seems to be a teeth whitening offer at least once a month.

Just got to survive lunch today and then we can eat again, woooooo!!! Never realised how much I loved my tea in a morning, I had a headache all day yesterday and I blamed it onn withdrawal! lol I only have 1 cup a day!

I also want to have perfect white teeth but it is the nightmare to get them stained again and hence looking for the perfect diet tips. Would like to get the whitening treatment from the expert dentist Torrance and will also ask some tips from him to take care of the teeth in order to maintain their shade.

Wow, I didn't know that it is that strict! I have never had my teeth whitened but before wedding I would also like to take care of them. The list of food is not so long but for dinner you can have chicken with vegetables. It is easy to prepare and definitely fast.
