    Hi all,

So me and my H2B are thinking of doing a course of teeth whitening before the wedding.

Has anyone else had this done and if so what did you use?

Is anyone else thinking about this?

    xxxx

I had mine done about a year ago and was awesome. I went to a salon and it was the ultra violet one where they put gel on your teeth and worked really well. Apparently the dentist uses the same stuff but makes moulds of your teeth and puts the gel in the moulds and thats why it costs so much more.

It was werid having your mouth clamped open for 15 minutes 3 times but worked well and i will be doing it again next year before the wedding xxx

I've told my h2b I'm having my teeth whitened before we get married and I've seen a lady who does it for £79 and she has a lot of positive feedback. I'm very conscious about my teeth so it's an important thing for me x

It was about £80 odd pounds but a few of us went together so got discounted. I wouldnt recommended going through the dentist as salons are as good and alot cheaper. Groupon do some deals sometimes xxx

I think it's quite expensive but I'd probably do it if I had the money. I just use whitening toothpastes and they're really good xxx

Luckily mine are ok, I use whitening toothpaste which seems to help.
H2B has lovely teeth so he hasn't a problem.

I think its cool how it works and if I needed it I would definitely consider it, I think I would be happier smiling knowing I had sparkling teeth.

I'm not only getting them whitened i'm currently working my way through sets of invisalign braces to get my manky teeth straightened out! I've always said that when i'm older and have the money i'll get my teeth done and I just thought that if I was gonna ever have them done - before the wedding would be the best time!

My big sister was a nightmare with her brace when we were little so when it was my turn my mom said as there was nothing medically wrong with my teeth and it was just vanity i wasn't allowed a brace!! Not quite forgiven her for that! lol, I should send her the bill! hehe.

They threw the whitening in for free as i'm having all the other stuff done, hopefully by July next year i'll have straight sparkly white teeth! Whoop! No idea what the make or anything is as haven't started the whitening bit yet. I think if your teeth bother you - go for it, anything that makes you feel more confident on the day is a must! x

im thinking about having this done but i have sensitive teeth so need to know its not going to make them worse. also my teeth arnt that discoloured, i just want them super white and bright so dont know if it would make that much of a dramatic difference? what difference was there in your experiences?

I saw some ladies eating their teeth whitened at the national wedding fair in Birmingham earlier this year - all my friends and I could think were "yikes!". They were TOO white (think of that episode of 'Friends' where Ross had insanely white teeth).

By all means go for it, but do your research and ask to see some 'before' and 'after' pictures if you go for a treatment, then you'll know what you're getting. I might get mine done but wouldn't want my teeth to be the focus instead of my dress x

iv never had my teeth whitened as such, they are naturally quite white but i do have the odd yellow days from coffee and tea and wine etc but iv always used those toothpaste the iso ones in a tub dip it in water and then i sprinkle a good lump of bi carb on top while it fizzes i give it a good brush on my teeth. works really well and cheap!!!

I'm in 2 minds on whether to have mine whitened, my H2B is having some work done on his teeth early next year due to all the coke he drinks and various other crap he eats and drinks his teeth are really worn down, they don't look awful at all but they don't look healthy close up.

Mine are just yellow from the black tea I drink, I'm hoping whitening toothpaste will spruce them up a bit if not then whitening at a salon might be an option.
