OH and I have decided against our previous choice of colour scheme and are now considering something blue based, either teal or turquoise. What do you guys think? I also like idea of a blue dress, as white doesn't do a lot for me. Would that be overkill though?

If you are having a blue dress then I would go for a contrasting colour for the bridesmaids or a light shade of yours. Get your dress first and then decide on what other colour to have for everyone else.

Before you choose why don't you have a look around and make sure its easy to find everything you will need in those colours. Alot of people pick a colour and then can't find everything they need.. I love both colours so I couldn't pick! Ermm blue dress I'm not sure about though, it could be a bit much but its your day, if thats what you want thats what you should have! xx

I will try and post pics later on my wall to show what I have in mind, I can't at the mo on my ipod touch. I think it can work having a coloured dress as my friend was married last year in a dress that was purple, she looked amazing

I've seena couple of blue dresses and they can look really nice so if it is what you want then fo for it. Just make sure that you pick your dress out first before you set you other colours as you may end up with red, purple or something else lol.

i like blue as a theme, but am unsure of a blue dress, is there not a different shade of white or ivory that you could chose, as there are lots of different hues, or perhaps a silverish dress, i find that blue is very cold and does not suit some people and can make them looked a bit pale and washed out :) x

iv got teal as my colou theme an yes i love it! But ill tell ya its been a nightmare tryin to match everything to the bridesmaids dresses as there are so many shades of teal that are close to each other. Just hope its gonna look ok

Hmm not sure about silver, nice idea though. Maybe I could have a strapless blue dress with a white sash and lacy shrug over it, so it breaks up the colour a bit?

we're having turquoise as our 2nd colour its gorge! my dress is ivory! we are also having a theme of feathers and sparkles!!!

I love teal for a wedding colour - as long as you pair it with something else so it doesn't look too dark/dull. I saw a really nice wedding once lots of ivory but the accent colours were teal and fushia - sounds awful but it looked fab, really striking and pretty!

iv got Aqua/ teal bridesmaid with ivory assecories and flowers just hard getting favours to match but dont regreat choosing the colour so iv gone for the aqua/ teal as an accent colour adding beads in the ivory flowers and bows on the ivory chair covers , fingers crossed it looks ok lol

if there are any sites anyone knows that do aqua/ teal favours id be gratful , iv seen light blue foil balls and choc hearts on confettico.ukif that helps buzz . lucky the chair cover company can match my colour for the bows x
