I am having issues with the colour I want to have for my wedding, it's a teal green however I am starting to find it difficult finding Teal Green to coordinate my big day, I have found some centrepieces but the teal roses in them are a teal blue and it seems that everyones idea of teal is different, some teals are more blues and and I want more green, anyone else having teal and having this problem or is it the same with all colours when trying to coordinate?

I think you'll find that with any colour hun, I've gone for merlot but there are so many different shaders that I've ended up buying another bridesmaid dress (luckily I found one on the bay for £5) to make cravats and I'm carrying a snippet of it around with me so that I don't end up getting something that is the wrong colour haha

4th April 2014 - I get married to my soul mate

Teal is mostly blue so most shops will have teal as blue not greeney blue I'm doing Emerald Green n Sapphire Blue as we are having an Emerald Queen n Sapphire King Theme so we got best of both colours maybe you should try that hun =D

I dont think its just teal that has issues hun. we're having turquoise. the proper bright turquoise. not aqua, or green, or TEAL, turquoise! to get it right you think would be easy!
I keep a sample of the colour i want in my bag so whenever i go anywhere i have THE shade so people cant tell me otherwise!
I also have my toes painted the colour too, that was my sample when people asked till i found the right ribbon shade! x

I've been working on pale blue, but I'm starting to think more in terms of turquoise. I'll probably do bridesmaids dresses as a combination of those two colours, and white flowers with coloured ribbons.

We had teal for our wedding for the BM dresses, ushers & Best man in matching teal cravats/hankies. We found some perfect matching table/centre pieces crystals which were used in our table decorations and the chair/table sashes matched.

Like others have said, there are so many different shades of all colours. Some lights make it look green and some blue. The photographers photo's tend to make teal look blue.....

I'm selling the two adult tealness alfred angelo dresses (they still stock them if you have more BM's), the cravats/hankies and the crystals if you are interested in seeing any photo's?

Paint colour cards are a great way to make sure colours match! Get several sets & issue them to BMs, mum, suppliers etc. so they know exactly what shade you're wanting!

I've recommended this elsewhere but I feel it's worth mentioning again if you have 3 colours in your theme you'll be more likely to be able to incorporate the different shades of your colour. So you could have something like teal, light turquoise, and white/ivory. For the things you can find in teal the turquoise would act as an accent colour. But all the things you can only find in turquoise would still fit into your colour scheme.
