Does anyone know what the latest time scale is for new claims? Last time I made a claim it took 11 weeks, H2B may get his notice given to him on Monday because his boss has a massive tax bill from 2 years ago to pay (immediately)and he may have to lay Mark off. If it takes too long we are screwed for the wedding....don't know what to do

I'm not really sure about time-scales, but got to LINK REMOVED PLEASE READ THE RULES and check out the Tax Credits info, there maybe an update in there, or give them a call as there is a general enquiry line. I do know that they have been updating their system for the last 9 months in prep for this financial year, but I wouldn't know if that would have any impact on new claims. Best check as soon as, you never know it might be quicker than you think??!?!?!?

Last time I put in a new claim it took about 4 weeks and also had a backdated payment.

How much have you got left to pay for? If you cancel/postpone now would you not lose your deposits etc? May be better to cut corners and costs and have a slightly budgeted down wedding sooner rather than incur all the costs of cancelling/postponing. xx
