    Hi

Just thought I would start my own thread, as I seemed to have hijacked another ladies! I had a diy tattoo on my finger about 22 years ago and have regretted it ever since, so finally decided to look into having it lasered off. I managed to get a local deal on Groupon which was for 3 sessions for £99. Luckily diy tattoo's are easier to remove because the needles don't penetrate as deep and blue/black ink is the easiest colour to remove. I have had my first session and it wasn't painfree, lol but it's similar to having an elastic band flicked against your skin. The guy recons it could be completely removed by the 3rd session and if not I get additional sessions at a reduced rate of £30.

    Hi Lisa,
My H2B has an ex-girlfriends name on his ring finger that he has had covered up. He really wants to have it removed before the wedding, and has been having a treatment on it called 'erase' i think. So far its not made much difference so we have been thinking about laser treatment but wasnt sure how effective it would be. I will tell him how its work well for you and maybe he will give it a go.
I will keep an eye out on groupon incase there are anymore offers like this xx

Is it a cream he's been using? If it is then it's not going to work, I'm afraid. I can only have a treatment every 5 weeks and he did say that the area might scab or blister and the skin hasn't even broken. It might be worth you searching a few companies to see how much they charge a session? Even if it just lightened the tattoo you can probably cover it up with concealer or make up. Obviously mine is alot easier to remove because of the colour etc. My son (like mother like son), had a tattoo in December and it is horrendous! A thick black coloured hW and I have never seen anything so horrendous. I bought him the same package and I'm hoping he has his first session next week. I can use the excuse that I want to see the progress of the removal and take a photo, because I think his tattoo is probably a better example than mine.

At the time it stung, abit like an elastic band being flicked against my finger but nothing unbareable. I do have a high pain thresh hold though! I have laughed to my son though, because if he can't take the pain he's going to look like a right wimp lol.

My H2B has been having a type of acid tattoed into the skin, very painful, it has faded slightly at the edges but it hasnt worked aswell as your treatment has. It will probably take a few more sessions than yours though as it is one black tattoo over another and quite dark. I will search online for a few companies like you have suggested, hes willing to give anything a go lol xx

My brother had quite a few removed, it cost over £1,000 because he had quite a few, and luckily they toowere home made ones, easier to remove than proper ones. and now....5 years later you can't see where they had been. he says its the best £1,000 he ever spent.
he used to go once a month. and after they lasered it, his own body carried on working on it for 4 weeks untill he went again. you could see it disappearing more each day. he went for a year.

can't really help with the removal side of things - though it def is fading a lot so looks like the treatment's doing the trick - but when i had my tattoo on my ankle i used bpanthen nappy cream on the skin for a week or so afterwards and didn't get any blistering or broken skin or anything so i can recommend it!
