Need some advice, My H2B is going to be wearing a kilt-'spirit of wales' to be precise, and i want a garter made of the same material but ive hit a brick wall!! The company that he's having the kilts from tell me that they dont know of any one who makes the garters out of this tartan, as its not your usual run of the mill tartan-its rare, apparently!

Any ideas where I could get some help from?

I also cannot get hold of a swatch of this kilt either, so I cant even try to make my own.

    AAARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Its easy to make your own. All you need is a little elastic some material and lace if you want it. If you can do a simple running stitch either by hand or on the sewing machine that is all you need to do. I'm sure that you could get a sample of the material if you contacted either the supplier firect who makes the kilts that send to the company you are using or in Scotland they have shops that can get hold of any tartan (although it can work out expensive but shouldn't be too bad for a small amount)

Why don't you request just a little bit of fabric from them, and get a plain white/ivory lace and add the fabric around it, (instead of adding ribbon)?
