Ok, I posted something on here a while ago - and I have searched and simply cannot find it - but to give those who didnt read it - I was having a moan about not being able to afford children and just worrying about money.

I was dead against having children for a while - But something has changed.
Me and H2B have been seriously discussing things.
we've been talking about the baby as if Im already pregnant and H2B is already in love with the idea of a baby (not yet though!!!)

So we have agreed that once we are married we will start saving for a baby and maybe in a few years (2-3) once we're about 30 we will finally take the plunge and get pregnant!!! :)

i think If I was rich, or won the lottery I would get pregnant next year, but we wouldnt be able to afford that.

Any way Im not expecting replies - just wanted to blurt it out as Im excited! :)

I cant wait to see H2B as a daddy - he'll make a better daddy than me a mummy Im sure! :P

Awwwww that is great news. We want to have babies too. I don't think there is ever a right time to have them nor can you ever afford them but you soon find a way of managing when they arrive. We are also going to save for a year after the wedding to get the savings back up again then hopefully by then I will be more able to look after them and we can start too! We will both have to watch this space and see what happens.

lol! I hope so Megs! lol!

My brothers Wife is pregnant - and I think this is what has made me broody.

But also the fact that H2B is sooo into it - and whenever we talk about babies he doesnt shy away from it.

We were in the car and he was saying that we need to get a new car so that it could fit a baby seat and be safe. He doesnt think my car is safe enough to have a baby in as it's not very big or protective.

But The fact that he is already worried about the babies well being and we're not even expecting.

We talked about where we would put the nersary and everything! :)

fab news hun :) its great ur h2b can be so open about it!!!

ive made no mistake in making sure hubby knows how much i want a 2nd..but with having pcos and gaining weight because of it and being overweight anyhoo its unlikely goin to happen for a while and i really dont wnt to have to wait til 5 years or so before i look into gettin fertility drugs cause it could take another few years after that and i dont want such a big age gap wtih lucas and baby! ...

dont think anyone can really "afford" a baby as such..but you just get by :)

Im just hoping now that when we do try that we actually manage to conceive.

I've had CIN3 on my Cervix which was removed and I have to have constant check ups in the hospital but I hope that wont effect it

I'm in a similar position to you and am getting excited already! We're trying to save for the wedding and a house deposit as we're still renting and H2B said he'd like about a year on our own after we get married but he doesn't want to wait any longer than that before trying. He has been winding me up about being broody for ages but now he has started talking about babies so much more! He notices pregnant women and babies all the time and has started saying 'awww' rather than 'urghh'! He also bought a new car recently and got a sensible family car! I'd happilly start trying now but he says (and deep down I agree!) it is more sensible to wait!

Babba's!!!! I don't think you can ever afford them!!! I get soo broody, practically all my friends are mummies!!! and seein the piccies on FB just make me more so!!! But no babies yet H2B wants to wait till at least 2013, we need to save for wedding and then for a house, we own our flat but it's one bedroom and not big enough or practical for an additional little person. Part of my thinks F the wedding and the 8 grand saved up could be put towards a house and then i can start trying for a babba x

Exciting! You'll find a way to manage hun - we decided we wanted children first, as we thought we could get married any time, but wanted to have kids in our 20's (personal opinion - I know this isn't right for everyone!) But to my surprise, H2B proposed when I was heavily pregnant and now our daughter is 15 months old and we're getting married in a few months. It's not how we'd planned it but you need to do what feels right for you at the time. There's never the 'perfect time' to have kids, you'll know in your hearts when it's right.
Good luck and please keep us updated! xxx
