we originally were going to call our tables after gods and goddesses. but we originally wanted a scottish theme to our wedding as we wanted to get married up there but couldn't cos Neil's mum was really poorly and couldn't make it that far. but the scottish theme has gotten lost somewhere along the way and i've no thistles in my flowers and we've no tartan on the flowers or on the tables (but we DO have the kilts), so do you wise bunch think we should stick with the original table names or pick something scotland related?
if scotland related what suggestions? we thought maybe clans or lochs or castles?

I think that Lochs would be a lovely idea it would bring that bit of scottish back into the wedding. You could also put a tartan ribbon or picture of thistles on the table name card.

i wanted to re-do the whole stationary to something with tartan ribbon on, but we've sent out our invitations already and don't think it'd be practical to have to change it. altho i have to say that nothing but the invites have been done.
we were thinking about tartan table runners ages ago. but we bought some lilac coloured organza (on my page) to use as table runners and chair bows becasue we didn't want to over do the tartan. i'm making neil buy some heather so i can put it on all the napkins. and i'm making our favours. it's called tiffin and it was something my mum used to cook once in a blue moon for us and i learnt the recipie and i think it's scottish. do you reckon that's ok? I'm not going mad am i? x

hmmm might leave it natural. then maybe use purple to write the guests name on an ivory tag? that sound ok? god i'm so worried that the table settings will look rubbish! lol x
