Hi ya babe what theme if any are you having for your wedding. Mine is red, white and roses, so ive named my tables after romantic rose names. You could name them on your theme, your fav places, basically anything your imagination can think of?

My H2Bs favourite band is the Foo Fighters, so we've picked some of their song titles for our table names, the top table will be "Everlong". Unfortunately my favourite song of theirs is "Long Road to Ruin" which I don't really think is appropriate for a wedding!!!
I think its nice to go with something personal to you as a couple, as Hails said - favourite places is a nice one.

I think Im gonna have my tables named after butterflies as that is part of my theme. Not sure yet though. I think sepcial places is a nice one though x

Think we are either having them named after flowers (its a natural garden theme for our wedding) or maybe oasis songs with the top table being Wonderwall as that is our favourite.

I think we are having H2B's favourite Liverpool players, past and present. We think we might have enough tables to make a whole team so he has one player from each position. The tables will have facts about each player and he is also planning who to sit at each table depending on whether that player has scored against his friend's team!! EG The Luis Garcia table will have a big Chelsea fan on it! I refused to have a fully football themed wedding so that has been my concession to his life long obsession!

IF we end up with tables (not sure if we're having a sit down meal yet) we decided to have names of places/things that reflect the stages of our relationship;
- Wetherby High (where we met) - Cobbles (restaurant where we had our first date) - York Minster (where we had our first kiss) - Evil Eye Lounge (our hang-out when I still lived in York) - East Keswick Methodist (where we're getting married)
That's 5 tables down - not sure on the rest yet lol

oooh, I forgot - the tables will have numbers as well, but random numbers! They will be the number that the player wore and apparently (h2B is planning it for my approval!) the table plan will have the random numbers so people will wonder what is going on and then the player details revealed at the table!!!

I worked a wedding once where they used Monopoly properties - I remember people grumbling because they'd been put on lower value properties, realising the tables were towards the back of the room and then suddenly twigging that they weren't as 'important' to the Bride & Groom as they thought they were, if looks could have killed LOL
So Monopoly properties AREN'T a good idea ;)

My H2Bs current idea is to number the tables... but randomly! I'm trying to get a bit of geekiness into the numbers.... binary, chemical, latin.... haven't decided yet!

i like emmielene's idea, thats one of my fave films as well. i am only havin 2 tables as its a small reception (immiediate family only) and i am naming them with sweets. one will be the fizzers and i will scatter fizzers sweets on th table and the other will be parma violets with packs of parma violets scattered. i am also havin a bowl of marshmallos as my centre pieces, with helium ballons on a mirrored tile. and i hav also been buyin loads of packs of party size love hearts 2 scatter on all the tables. these are all instead of doin individual favours x

i luv parma violets to. i wil hav 2 make sure they put sum on the top table lol. you can buy big packs of them on ebay. i gona get mine nearer the time cos if i get them now i wil eat them all :0)
