On our top table I have bought goldfish bowls to put floating candles in. I need pink, white or clear stones to just add a bit of sparkle to the bottom of the bowls but dont know what it is that I need to look for. What are these florist gell balls that I keep seeing? I need something big enough that isnt going to float, I bought some scatter crystals for the tables but it would cost me a fortune to buy more to buy enough to fill the bottom of these bowls as they are so small. Are there any alternatives? Thank you muchly xx

    Glass stones or pebbles?
I put a link on your wall - might help

I think the gel beads are little balls that swell in the water and then sink, they can be in any colour and are quite pretty

There are so many people out there who will tell you
    what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!

Hello Laulyloon .... The gel beads swell in water, you can get them in millions of colours and they do look good, you could always wedge a flower in the beads so it's sudmerged under the water. When I went to wedding fair once I saw a lovely table centrepiece, it was a fish bowl with a light at the bottom and a giant flower floating on the top .... the light are called floralites, you can use them under water and they are run on batteries, it would look great at night! I'll see if I can find some pictures for you x

They are quite small, but in the pictures they have used the gel beads as the light shines through them, you wouldn't need to fill the entire bowl, just enough to hide the light. You could try colouring the water with food colouring to match your theme.

I experimented with these for my flowers, you can't really see it on the picture but I tinted the water with some pink food colouring x
