Just wondering what everyones views are on the wee table cameras you can buy to put on your tables for guests to take photos??
I can't make up my mind if these are a good idea or just an added expense; is anyone having these at their wedding?? I know you can buy them in packs of 10 from some places and the prices are quite reasonable but then you have to pay to have them developed so just not sure if it is worth it.

I'm having them!! But were only having 6 tables of people so it's not as daunting as what a big reception would be. I got ours from ebay(where else lol.. this is the only place I shop near enough lol). £2.99 each came with a little card to be placed with them also.. I think if your buying them in bulk they would be cheaper aswell. 1 half of mine came with a package to send them off to get free processing :D The other half didn't as I got them from a different seller :|

I think we're going to have these - maybe just 2 or 3 per table rather than one each - otherwise we'll end up with hundreds of wasted photos I think. It's a nice idea though and will give you a chance to see the bits from the wedding that you would have missed!

Im not but will be putting on the information card that they are welcome to take pics and would be really nice if they could share them with us.

I am getting them. I think it is hilarious to go through them afterwards to see who got up to what during your day..... you cant keep your eye on everyone at all times. plus they would make a brilliant keepsake scrapbook afterwards. the only worry is it will cost abit to get them all disposed afterwards

in my opinion they are a waste of money...generally people just take pictures of their food, pictures of funny faces, pictures of body parts...if you like that kind of thing then go for it, but thats not the pictures i want in my wedding album! my sister had them at her wedding paid about £4 or £5 each to have them developed and was so disappointed. i guess if you get a good deal including development then you might as well just incase you get any nice pictures xx
CommentAuthorPrincessLJ
we're having them as i think it'll be nice to see our wedding from other people's perspectives. lot's of places do discounts on developing, the more you develop, the better the price per photo :) xx

I am having them! I think there a good way for your freinds to take pictures of each other and little bits that either you will miss or your photographer will miss! You can get some really good deals on them as well. I have got mine from confetti, they were only £1.99 each and they come in loads of different colours to match your colour scheme!!

Thats ok babe. Just not aloud in the forum as its classed as advertising. If you put it on yours or other peoples walls and direct them there thats fine (See forum rules above).

Not bothering with table cameras as I think guests will be able to take soooooooooooo many pics with their digital cameras..and then upload them ASAP! Alot cheaper and less hassle!
CommentAuthorSuz80
We're having them, but only 2 on each table, his will prevent everyone taking pictures at the same time and at the same thing. If you look around, some companies will provide free processing. I think their a brill ideia and seeing as most photographers only stay until the beginning of the reception (pretend cake cutting) it will give you the memories of the rest of the evening but from your guests point of view. xx

someone on here before (can't remember who) said their leaving blank cd's on tables with a note asking people to send them a copy of their pics after the day, i think thats a nice idea - a lot cheaper and digital pics will be better quality x
CommentAuthorSuz80
Thats a really good ideia!!!
CommentAuthorPuddleduck87
Do Max Speilman still exist? I'm sure they did them in a pack with free processing too. Knowing my luck like the guests would take them home haha

And you always get the person who takes photos over cubical doors and thats when the camera goes missing. The victim hiding the evidence. x

i was thinking of table cameras but instead iv bought disks so guests can upload their pics for us
CommentAuthorvintage lass
sorry....but think this is a waste of money given that firstly you have to pay for them and then develop them. My cousin had these at her wedding and ended up only developing about 5 given they turned out poor quality and basically with bad photography! If your wanting loads of pics hun...get copies from other people's digital cameras that can be emailed to you and printed off afterward to desired size, quality etc xxx
CommentAuthorCeCe
I agree Vintage..on our Wedding page we can have pics uploaded from guests..so everyone can share them and see them!

I've known people who've had them and really regretted it. The quality of the photos was so poor.
Most people have digital cameras now anyway.
