Ok just come across this idea and wanted to see what you think???
We have the bouquet toss for the women, garter toss for the men......what about doing a sweetie toss for the kids, so they dont feel left out???.......good idea or bad??

lol yeah will be individual sweets in wrappers hehehe!
So basically i'll get the dj to play a song (THE ONE SUGGESTED WAS "I LIKE CANDY") and call all the kids up to the dance floor, then when there all dancing i'll get him to throw some sweets out for them to catch.

Not sure if it will be too much tho, as we are having a sweetie buffet as the reception dessert??
Unless I get him to do it at the start of the reception and try not to let anyone touch the buffet till after the bacon rolls are out!

Sounds good if you can cope with the kids running riot at the sweets lol! I know my parents mentioned that at their wedding they did a coin throw for the kids outside the church but usually it was for the kids that came to watch the bride arriving and it was supposed to be a lucky wedding tradition. xx

Its not one that we did at our wedding but it is one that features in the list of traditions that may be done at weddings. Usually the groom removes the garter from his bride with his teeth then throws the garter at an already assembled group of unmarried men and whoever catches it will be married next I think. xx

The problem with the soft toy throw would be only one winner, kids aren't like adults and can't understand that they all can't have one.
I've done a load of kiddy parties and I always try and make sure they have all won something, but maybe I'm too soft!!!

sweet toss sounds fantastic :) i would do it before the meal, but be careful i have been to a party where there was a sweet toss, the pinata refused to break so the childs dad got on the stage broke it and emptied it on the kids on the dance floor, well one of the kids got hit by the lollies and spend ages crying the poor thing, mind you lots of people felt sorry for her and she was soon smiling as everyone kept giving her sweet lol.

getting married on 29th June 2013
    You cant please everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    love smillies :)

sounds like a great idea but i would avoid boiled sweets as they will shatter if they hit the floor or if the stood on and will make an almighty mess lol maybe something that can take a battering xxxx
