    Hi everyone,

I feel like a sheep in a lions den so please be nice.

I get married in a few weeks to my incredible wife-to-be. We have been together for 6 years and engaged for 2.

I really want to do a few special things for her as surprises on or around the big day. I have had a read through 5 or 6 posts on here with lots of opinions but haven't yet found anything that has struck me as something I want to surprise her with.

I love the idea of flowers, champagne, writing notes etc... But I want something truly unique that she would never imagine in her wildest dreams.

Does anyone have any ideas? Money is not really a big issue, I'm happy to spend whatever it takes to create a memory which she will never forget and one she hasn't seen or heard of before.

    Thanks in advance :)

a honeymoon? Have you discussed one?? If you haven't maybe a surprise honeymoon would take her fancy, somewhere she's always wanted to go but keep it a surprise even when she's on the plane. hehe.

Helicopter ride from ceremony to reception if in different locations!

Fireworks in the evening if your venue allows?

Upgrade flights on honeymoon if you haven't already.

Are you both into tattoos? A small discreet one of her name and your wedding date somewhere on your body only she will ever see?

If she doesn't have a something old, new, borrowed and blue and a sixpence then you could arrange those for her.

Or how about a scrapbook with pictures from your life together spanning right from where you met to now. If you don't have pictures of everything you could write a specific memory down and include that.

A bottle of perfume that she would like but doesn't wear. Then it will always remind her of her wedding day

Love the scrap book idea. My bridesmaids organised one for my hen, got pictures of me with all my friends (and of me growing up), got them all to write me a personal message, they then made it up into a photobook, had it all printed.

We made my aunt one for her 60th Birthday and got all the family and her friends to send us something to include. She loved it

I wouldn't go with a surprise honeymoon, I would have been miffed if I hadn't had a say in what we did, but I'd agree with the idea of upgrading flights, or maybe you could ask for an inflight announcement, and perhaps champagne on the flight. If she has a favourite band or artist you might be able to ask for them to send her a message on your wedding day. Most will do that if you can find a way of contacting them. I did that for my husband.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

I got OHs favourite band to do a short video message which I played to him on the day and got the photographer to take photos of his face. He was so surprised which was really lovely. So maybe contact your wife2be's favourite band/actor etc to see if they could do something similar.

If you didn't want to do a full blown surprise honeymoon, you could always book a minimoon for a few days away after the wedding. X

I suppose only you know your soon to be wife well enough to know what she'd truly like.
Maybe you could learn a dance or her favourite song and sing it at your reception. Maybe you could organise something special for her transport to the ceremony as a surprise such as horse and carriage, vintage car etc
