    OMG...I am in a bit of a panic. My h2b asked me last night how I would feel if he came in one day and said everthing was booked and we were getting married the following day. Ok, romantic? of course! A lovely idea so I dont have to stress over it..absolutely! but I would HATE it! I of course told him but I know him so well and I know he is thinking about doing it. He is pushing for us to set the date but I have been completely bedbound since a 4 hour afternoon tea for our enagagement 10 days ago so not quite as enthusiastic about the whole thing as just too ill and soooo many obstacles to organising everything. In fact, I am having palpitations just thinking about it! ha ha.
    So ladies, if your h2b came in and said you were having a suprise wedding how would you feel?

    I'd be over the moon and so excited. H2B has helped loads with the planning but ofcourse he's not as excited as I am, he's a man after all but I know if he did plan it all himself it would be exactly how I want it. He knows me inside and out and knows exactly what I want for my big day and I don't even know what I want haha.. I think if he done that for you it just shows how much he truely loves you and would do anything to make you happy!

    I dont think mine would do that, its taking him long enough to pop the question with a date set and things booked!! That said he has been fantastic with helping organise and looking at everything with me, love that he gets as excited as I do with things like the rings and the invitations and I think Id be upset if he took that away and organised it himself.......sorry waffled lol xx

    Really Mrs Walker? would you not feel you had missed out on all the planning etc? You are right though, he would do just about anything to make me happy (except sort his mother out unfortunately!) but if it happens I want us to do it together and he is already a Bridezilla! ha ha.

    I wouldn't mind at all. I've found the whole planning very exciting but just as much stressful, I try to please everyone where as h2b would just think about us and what we want. It would be perfect. But if he suggested I'd say no, if he just done it, I wouldn't be angry x

    Phew...at least I am not alone in all of this! His intentions are good but...... At least if it was dont tell the bride I would know it was even happening and he would have a good budget to do something nice. But the dress...jeees ...that would be a panic as am very top heavy and need full straps to go with a full bra/scaffolding.
    It is more like what is right with me Becky ha ha...

    i would encourage the sweetness behind it as obviously he cant wait to be my hubby but I would also tell him NO WAY. The main fun is planning it and I would like it to be perfect. You only do it once... hopefully so you need to make the day a day to remember.

    I'd love it if my h2b did that! The only thing I wouldn't like is the dress that he would choose for me. He has told me that he imagines me in a knee length dress, and I know he loves lace, so I would get a knee length lace dress ... that I would HATE. I did try on a couple of lace dresses, but just felt like I was wearing a big doily. I just don't like lace. Other than that I think it would be fab.

    I would trust him to do it, he would probably do things very different to how I would but I know he has style, he would probably get flustered with things and get a wedding planner, and in that case I know he wouldn't forget the special touches like BM gifts and favours etc.

    lmao, I had a good ole chuckle reading the replies to this. Don't tell the bride has alot to answer for. I can just imagine Kev getting the opportunity, it would be top gear theme all the way and he'd be dressed as Stig and I'd have some rubbish, ill fitting dress nothing near what I've dreamed. Cheapo tacky decor and little or no thought into anyone or anything else. He knows all there is to know about me, knows what I like and like some of the other brides here, knows that I want so much out of our big day but there is no way he'd get it right cos I've kept that to myself (he'd freak if he knew just how bridezilla I'm getting lol). He'd invite ppl that have nothing to do with our day to day lives and waste good money on tat. As much as I love him, he'd be rubbish doing this on his own. I think unless your h2b has good organisation, creative mind and exact knowledge of what you want, need and don't want, as well as infinite budget, you will end up with less than you dreamed of. We started off with Kev telling me he just wanted a date and time to turn up to him being involved in most of the detail from the decor/theme to the invitations. I LOVE planning this wedding and we are closer and more in love for the experience. My advice, go with your gut. xxxx

    id cry .... but id know that h2b would do something amazing because he can be OTT and his attention to detail is amazing but it wouldnt have the french romantic theme were having .... but if h2b planned it am sure i would feel like a princess.....
