How weird too as i've just posted about not being able to get married till 2014 as we can't afford to with buying a house lol! Keeping fingers crossed it will be a good one xx

Speaking of getting costs down actually, I asked what the corking charge would be to bring my own wine for the tables, and was told a tenner a bottle, that's like more than a bottle of wine on it's own costs!!!!
Actually, Ive just looked at the menus and the bottles of plonk are 20 quid minimum
Either way, its still outrageous, just to put my own wine on a table!! Argh!!

Velcro - corkage is a good place to start negotiating with your venue on price as costs them nothing to drop it by a few quid if they are't going to get your business on wine anyway

I missed most of that program, I think I was just staring into space for the most of it haha, I'm definately gunna hunt out a bargain on my wedding dress, it pains me to hand money over for summat Im only gunna wear once, it pains me spending 40 quid on an outfit for a night out that i know im never gunna wear agian

I really liked the idea of the decorations on there, even the bottles on the table with the roses in them. Such a good idea. Little trip to a supermarket for a bouquet of roses the day before arrival could save quite a bit of money but i wonder if this would be too stressful to do!

We were booking 2 and a half years in advance and that helped alot! lol We also got it exclusively for free (normally £1500!). Basically told her (the owner) that if she would drop corkage down to £5 instead of £15 and give it to us exclusively for no extra cost we would book and pay the deposit there and then and that we would be having a minimum of 90 guests for the day and 150 for the evening so she would get a lot of money behind the bar anyway and she agreed to it! It's still going to cost us around £4500 but thats due to the amount of guests. I was being cheeky by doing it and was only really expecting her to drop the costs down a little bit but she agreed! So if you dont ask you dont get! xxx
