I would never normally go near a sunbed, but a cheap offer at my local gym (£19 for 8 sessions I think it was) persuaded me to buy some that I could use just before the wedding.
But I have literally never used one in my life, so I have no idea what I'm doing, when I should start using it, and err does one get all one's kit off, or just uncover whatever you want tanned? They give you little stickers to put over your eyes, but do you need to cover anything else up for safety?
How frequently should I go, and how long before the wedding do you think I should start, bearing in mind I have 8 sessions to use up?

I'd go once/twice a week, and wear your knickers.... you don't want burnt lady parts, and make sure you use a cream x

i use sunbeds....as you have never used them before, start of doing about 5 mins and then work your way up. i normally alternate between 7 and 8 mins and go 2-3 times a week!
in these sessions how long is one session? yes you do need to wear these eye covers as they protect them, you will also need to use sunbed cream. that can be quite expensive, mine cost £25!
you may be different but 8 sessions wouldnt really give me a tan, slight one but not much. i would start as soon as you can so you can build it up
Thanks Terri. I'm not after much of a tan really, just a healthy glow kind of thing. Not sure how long the sessions are - forgot to ask, have a feeling they might be either 5 or 10 mins....
Sounds like a couple of 5 minute sessions a week leading up to the wedding might be the plan.....

i would ask how long they are and if they are 10 mins then i would ask if you can split them up into smaller sessions. if you do 10 straight away you will really burn and damage your skin xx

I do between 3 -6 mins and I have dark skin, I'd start of with a minimal time and work your way up.... you dont want to burn! And sunbed cream.... they should sell it there hun x

Cool thanks Kaya.
And yeah, I don't think I'd want more than 5 minutes, given I don't get to see the sun much normally. And I don't think lobster red goes with ivory ;p

I started about a month before my wedding. I started with 3 minutes, then did 6 twice, then did 9 once then went back to 6 as I couldn't stand it for 9! I went twice a week for 4 weeks, and had a lovely glow. No-one (except Dan) noticed I had a tan but everyone said I looked like I was glowing (not just on the day). I have extrmemly sensitive skin, so I didn't use any creams, but made sure that I moisturised afterwards.
The stand up ones are easier as it surrounds you.
