I've brought 100 organza bags thinking I was going to fill them with sweets to use as favours but I've since decided I'm doing a sweet buffet on the evening so I don't really want to give them guests for favours aswell and I don't not want to give them favours as I don't want to waste the bags.. can anyone suggest something else I can use them for or put in them and I'm looking as cheap as possible!

I like the seed idea but also croc managed to do some bracelets and cuff links for her guests that worked out about a £1 each!
CommentAuthorMrsMelodyWalker
I'm looking at only spending about 1 pound each.. Not sure what seeds I'd use as its november?! How on earth did she manage cufflinks and bracelets for so little money lol!

You would have to ask her but if you look on her wall you can see how nice they look.

Its so hard to find anything for around a pound that doesn't involve sweets grrr

I feel really cheap making sure they aren't expensive favours but I have 100 guests and they are getting so much from my wedding as it is but I don't want to waste the organza bags. H2B just suggested filling them with confetti to give to the guests at church but then I won't have anything on the tables :-/

lol, why is it the small things that seem to take the most decisions ...
CommentAuthorMrsMelodyWalker
I know, its ridiculous! Everything is done apart from the favours and I've had nothing but trouble with them right from the start lol!!

bay of e should have something suitable, esp if you buy from abroad in bulk. small compact mirrors etc or you could maybe make some salt dough charm ornament type things, perhaps heart shapes with your initials and date of the wedding on?
CommentAuthorMrsMelodyWalker
I was thinking of buying a load of filo and making love hearts with initials, not sure whether everyone would like it though. I expect it would be something that'd end up in the bin or chucked in a drawer never to be seen again

I like the cancer research pin! Maybe get them for the women and men a scratch card and just stick them all in the organza bags

Oooooo another idea is salt dough hearts with their names on which can double up as a place card too. I have some pics in my DIY folder if you want to have a look at what they look like. Easy and cheap to make. You just need some flour, salt, water and paints and mabe some ribbon.

lol, jo great idea... but im not that creative!
CommentAuthorMrsMelodyWalker
I've thought of doing that before Jo, I really like the idea and could make them look lovely as yours does but I am now decided on the cancer research pins with a little card to say I've made a donation on there behalf etc, going to give them to the women and then the men are going to have a scratch card :-) I think it would be lovely in the little organza bags. Thanks very much for your suggestions though! xx
