we need a first dance to learn to dance before we have a 1st dance lol
only prob is.....
me and h2b hate what each other likes we have such different types of music that we like
i dont want anything normal for a 1st dance ( no frank santras or james brown) and i HATE commercial cheesy pop (no take that)
its just not our cup of tea....
i love trance, and electro im such a little rave head for music.... my h2b hates trance or any form of dance music... he like commercial music
we have no special song... as we dont listen to music together and dont go on night out/clubbing together ... even in the car ill either put my ear phones in for a long journey, go asleep or flick through 16gb of music on his ipod and generally we get there or nothing and have the dvd on instead
does any one have any suggestions for a 1st dance for us please i need to get this sorted this week/....

Oh dear...
why dont you try something that sounds good... we have picked The power of love by Frankie goes to hollywood.. not cos it means anything to either of us, but the words are lovely...
have a night on Youtube with all the lyrics and see which one clickes with you both!!

We're having Word Up! by Cameo - reminds us both of when we were teenagers (well before we met) and it's fun. Good luck with your search, maybe you could try going back in time and finding a song that you both like from last Century? xx

We're planning WELL in advance!!
I'm just going through all our CD's at the moment. We have some chill out trance CD's that may have something on them...............

oh that's a hard one, I'm probably no use my taste is pretty mainstream. I think a night on youtube is called for. We have a similar issue cos we don't have the same taste but I've decided to give him his way (I got what I wanted on so many other things) - so turns out we are dancing to bon jovi (I really didn't want to but ah well!) x

All you need is Love!
Why is the rum always gone?

We will have a similar challenge, as I like alot of commercial stuff, and h2b likes happy hardcore - LOL.
I would suggest that you find some of the most mainstream examples of what you like Croc - there is a fair amount of trance and electro that could almost be classed as commercial - especially trance, so I think there is probably hope for you to find something you agree on....

haha faeth i like it..... i could play on this i hate commercial trance when djs have sold out and realeased them..... but i could use this in my favour perhaps and not say its progressive!!
i will not give in either to what he wants hahaha music my life... he just like it haha
back in time to mel i was still listening to trance/electro/progressive and h2b was no doubt listing to what i would class as blinking awful!! lol
we could just not have a first dance i guess.....

You want your first dance to be Belle of the ball. Have you thought about maybe doing one of them spoof dances where it starts off all lovely dovey crap then turns into some belting tune?
CommentAuthorCroc
could you see my h2b dance to some belting tune jo!!!! the poor thing would literally die!!!!! although id love that best of both worlds....maybe i could replace him for my sister!!! but you have a point there ... i am a huge centre of attention look at me person and love to shock and make people laugh ....hmmmmmmmm maybe a you tube moment happening.....

Well he can have the first half for him and the second half for you then it is sharing and you get the best of both worlds.
CommentAuthorCroc
haha excellent.... compromising... something he never says i do!!!!!

Then you can prove him wrong and every time he says it you can remind him what you did for your first dance lol.
