This is probs a really stupid question but when im walking down the aisle are my bridesmaids behind me? or do they come in first then me and my dad. at my cousins wedding i was behind her and her dad walking down. but i have read that all bridesmaids and ushers should be in then the mother of the bride then me and my dad. then bridesmaids walk out behind me at the end?

I always thought that bm's walked behind you down the aisle, but at a wedding I went to last week the mum was the last person to take their seat. The flower girl came in first, followed by the adult bm's. Once they'd all got to the front and taken their positions the bride and her father came in. Was so lovely. So I'm going to do it this way now - although without the flower girl as we have no little girls in our family :(

i am having my flowergirls then bridesmaids then me. i want everyone to see the bridesmaids and i dont think they will be fully appreciated if they walk behind me. also i want to be the last one in so even my bridesmaids get to see me walk down the aisle

we have two small fg's, 1 small pb, 3 adult bm's, so 1 adult bm is walking with 1 of the smaller ones, then i will go last, hopefully the adult ones with keep the little ones in order :) x

There was another thread about this and someone mentioned the bride going down last so then you are not waiting to start and your guests are not craning to look behind you at the BMs and FGs. That is what I will be doing (this is gonna sound Bridezilla but), I want to be centre of attention when I walk down the aisle so I don't want everyone looking past me waiting for my BMs to walk down. xx

It is entirely up to you. Traditionally in the UK the flower girls/page boys first, then you, then bridesmaids. In the US it's everyone first and the bride last. I didn't have any flower girls or page boys, and I had my bridesmaids go up in front of me xx

You can do it however you want. Personally I'm having it the American way where they walk in first for a couple of reasons. First of all it means they get full attention on how sweet they are and secondly it gives me some time to get over the nerves before I have to walk in. They can also get to their seats a lot easier with no risk of climbing over my train to get to them. Some have the bridesmaids standing but mine will be sat down as I think it is far too long to expect them to stand up when they are young.

id have my mum and mil2b escourted down the isle by two ushers, then have the paige boy and flowergirl who will be 2 1/2 and 4 maybe helped down by their grandad, who is fil2b...
then my sister and my cousin and my best friend and my other cousin walk together, all take their seats, then the music will change and ill walk down!! x

Its really up to you who goes first down the aisle. My FG and BM's went first then i walked in last with my best friend so that everyone saw the BM's first then on the way out it went me and my hubby then my BM's and FG then the guest's. My son who was an Usher was already waiting in the room for us xx
