hi girls,

this weekend we decided to sort out our music for the register office. the problem i have is i cannot seem to find a song for my entrance. any song that i deemed suitable doesnt seem to work, as i cant imagine myself walking in to it.

how did you all pick the songs and as anyone got any suggestions on how i can find the 'right' one.

We had canon in d... both got really emotional listening to it and imaging walking down the aisle, so knew it ws the right choice x

h2b says it my choice but did give input to some songs yesterday and he doesnt get emotional at all. i made a list of appropriate songs and we chose the ones we needed for signing register, photos and leaving etc but i just cant seem to find one that works. the one i did think i would have is not liked by h2b and the other song i thought of put a lump in my throat just hearing it at home, and i dont want to be a blubbering mess as i wont stop!!!

I'm going to bump up a classical and light classic list that Suzky did a few weeks back, it helped me alot and they're all on the tube!

i've just listened to loads on spotify and shortlisted a few. The butterfly waltz is gorgeous, as is hymne by vangelis (piano version) xx

Just remember that if you want one the organist can't play you will have to find someone to work the cd player in most places, and sometimes provide the player yourself!

we're having a civil ceremony so dont need an organist, I would guess that marie is the same as she's getting married in a registry office :o)

Duh!!! Sorry was being a little dim there, my friend got married in a registry office and she couldn't even play Robbie William's "Angels" because they classed it as religious, so keep an eye out for that and check any music with them well before so you know if you can definately have it!

i had take that "rule the world" the film version to walk in to, i chose it because i love take that and the words seem to fit, i just thought about bands and music we both liked and went from there , we had "somewhere over the rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo Ole' for signing the register and we walked out to "iv'e got a feeling" by the black eyed peas, we danced to fishing for a dream by turin brakes.
maybe ask your h2b what songs make him think of you?
we chose our songs togther. good luck

also you might need all your songs cued on to a cd in order we had to do this, then they can press play and pause at the right time
