I got engaged last week and hoping to get married 2016 abroad but have no idea where to start. Who do you invite? Do you pay for guests at all? How long do you usually go out for? I'm so new with weddings in general that doing it abroad has blown my mind

Also I know you're not allowed to say companies but how do you find out who's the cheapest or where to find these companies?

If I was getting married abroad I would just invite those nearest and dearest to me and OH - so parents, siblings, grandparents (although my grandparents probably wouldn't want to fly) and best friends. It depends what your budget is, but I would probably ask everyone to pay for their own flights and hotel but give them plenty of notice so they have time to save up if needs be, but obviously would cater for food and drink as normal. I would like to go out a week in advance first then stay for about week after - I wouldn't want the guests so stay out so long though!! x

Yeh I was thinking that too thanks for your help. I keep making decisions then doubting myself x
It was between Cyprus and Greece but someone sent me a link to weddings in Turkey which are beautiful so it's made my decision harder x

I don't know anything about weddings abroad, but I would go to a few different travel agents. Tell them your location choices and see what their prices are like, get advice on getting married abroad and ask if they have any recommendations between what you've chosen.
