Hiya, we are getting married in Meriden near Coventry and have been looking everywhere for the right kind of DJ for us. We are into more alternative/rock music and would love a DJ that knows this kind of music and would be happy to play it and not pop/cheesy stuff. We are making a playlist that does have classic and new rock on it but all stuff that is upbeat and dancable to.
Any help would be much appreciated.

You could always just make your own playlist then hook your laptop or whatever up to some speakers and just set it off if you can't find anyone.

Also yoy could put a wanted post up on G um Tree or something like that, or on facebook someone you know might know someone.

You may struggle as a lot of djs don't like to be given a playlist. I would be tempted to do as button suggested - could save you a fortune too x

I've accepted your friend request now if you would like to send me that link?
We thought about the Ipod idea but my brother did that and someone was always messing with it. We would like to have the songs properly mixed and have to have someone we know keep an eye on it all the time, thank you for ideas anyway though.

iPods are ok but you can't beat a DJ and especially one that can really get the guests going. Keep looking you will find someone who will just the stuff that you want.

If you go to any rock bars etc, ask if they have any contacts who could DJ for you - just an idea :-)
