Been looking for Ivory Wedding Shoes and it seems the choice is just not out there for us bigger footed ladies, found some plain ones on the Next website but they did excite me at all. I ideally want something sparkly with a high heel. Anyone else struggling to find shoes as well or am I just not looking in the right places??

I am not getting married until April next year but really wanted them to take wedding dress shopping with me, do you think I am worrying too soon and should just take some with me that have the same heel height I am looking for?

Bar ratt s used to do tall and small range - they had loads of lovely larger shoes, they also have a bridal page on their website.

Other options try Evans, I used to sell shoes and I seem to remember advising people to try there if we couldn't help them.

    I'm now a married woman
    I have a gorgeous husband
    Whats to do now
Theres no more wedding planning to do

I think I've tried that one, but will check it out again just in case. Thank you

Most of the sites I have found are either too wide, to low heeled or just too plain. maybe I'm just being too fussy.

This is great, I knew I could rely on you lovely ladies to help me out, I was sitting here stressing. Had no idea Debenhams did size 9's so will check them out. One problem I have found is that some sites class a 42 as a 9 but in my case these are just to small I am a proper size 9 at a 43 with narrow fit.

I'm opposite - wide fitting and size 9 and like you find some shops sizes are really neat - infact girls of elegance were the worst and I'd ordered wide fitting too! I got mine from the shoe tailor - flat, sparkley sandals. I'd have loved a proper shoe but happy with the sandals x

Please don't take offence at this (!), but have you had a look at websites specialising in shoes for cross dressers/ transgendered people? Many of them are looking for elegant shoes in large sizes obviously! Have a google or I can ask some people for recommendations next time I go clubbing in G-A-Y :-)

Might be worth trying some dance wear shops too as they come in wide range of sizes and width fittings and some with sparkles and some without! Also love Grace's idea of websites specialising in shoes for cross dressers/ transgendered people - never thought of that!

I have those size 9 shoes up for swaps... they were too wide fitting for me. I bought them second hand and they have a couple of minor stains on from the previous owner but nothing too bad. They have about a 3 inch heel, slightly pointed toe with a strap across and a pretty sparkly detail on the strap. I was going to do crystals on them myself because i wanted something more special and its not that hard to do for yourself but as they're not the right fit i didn't do it.
I hate shoe shopping, most places I try I find that they have size 9s but they're always wide fit and I only need a standard width.

thanks everyone, this thread is going great :)

I have tried viva la diva before, and they make my feet sweat like mad, but for one day they may do.
I have decided to try doing some myself if i can find a nice pair wide enough

Ladies just wanted to say I've ordered the flat deb n ham ones with crystal bows and they're great, I love them, they're beautiful! I wanted flats so they're exactly what I was after. Janie maybe worth trying as I normally have EEE fit shoes and these, although a little tight, will be fine once they've been given the wear-in thick sock treatment lol x
