Hi ladies, this is a long one. We are due to marry in Italy next year, & have paid for 15 guests at the reception, and now none of them know if they can make it, our guest list is down to 3 now, me, my partner & our son. We have Spent a fortune (or will do when final balance Needs paying), we have the opportunity to Marry in Florida for a 3rd of an Italian wedding price, where us 3 can just go, we can't keep relying on our guests saying, yes, maybe we'll let you know. I'm just wondering what you lot would do in our situation. Italy is beautifu and I would love to Marry there, but Florida Also is stunning, a lot cheaper for the same services and plus a Longer holiday there. Hope this makes sense xx

I think you need to get final confirmations from your guests if they're coming or not - usually with flights etc it's difficult to get any money back? I'd explain that you need to know as you've put the money up front for their places at the reception, and if some of them say they can't make it then let the venue know and they may be able to put all the deposit towards the costs for the 3 of you. If you're able to get a refund then think about moving to Florida but it's a whole new project with planning, another co-ordinator etc so could be a bit stressy?

Hmmm I understand it is difficult for your guests to say yes or no what with it being abroad and work etc I agree with bridal tho see if the guests cant come weather or not the costs can go towards you 3??
Personally I would do florida and maybe have a little party for everyone when you get back. (don't forget tho either way you said just you 3....what about witnesses?? so if you go to florida will witnesses be able to go with you?)
