Argh, as my topic says - my perfect bridesmaid dresses have gone into sale and I can't find them in the website either so I *think* that maybe they are being discontinued! The wedding is still 2 years away - I have 4 adult maids... What should I do? Should I do an emergency run and buy the dresses or should I leave it and hope for the best... Or just keep looking... I'm gutted, they are absolutely perfect :( xx
CommentAuthormym72
Where were they from? You've still got a lot of time to keep looking - and ebay are always good for discontinued and hard to find things. My bm dress is from Debenhams but we finished up getting it a lot cheaper on ebay because it had been worn once for a wedding then dry cleaned. After all, most people only wear bm dresses once then tend to sell them. Hope you find what you're looking for.

Thank you :) They are Debenhams too. Just considering doing an emergency dash around all the local ones but I will have a check on eBay too. xx

go into the shop and they shold be able to find some aund the country for u if need be, then they can get them sent to u that way. afterall, good customer service ont hat kinda thing only promotes them to other brides! mine have also gone into the sale and my wedding is also 2 years away, so im going to be getting one this week and one next week...hopefully
If they are from debs they will find them and ship them to a shop near you and you can buy them that way. We done that with one of my dresses i got for a workd xmas party
Cant wait to to marry Martyn
Wishes the wedding would come faster

Which ones are they? I manage to get 2 from debs that aren't on the website anymore. I had to get the stores to locate them for me, and I had to travel, but I have them!
Now Mrs Cobb!!!!!! :-D

Good luck with that and keep us posted!!!

in my opinion 2 years is far too early to buy bm dresses. they may put on weight, lose weight, get pregnant and not go back to the same size, you may fall out or anything. i would personally leave it for at least another year until you buy them. i am sure you would find better dresses.
if you are sure they are the ones though try and find them x

Debenhams do the same colours and same designs year upon year..they just slightly alter them. The ones i had were debut organza with rose corsage..one year the rose was on the hip..one year they had one rose on the neckline, the next 2 roses and the next 3 roses..I got them from different years..all same colour but just made them all 2 roses by removing and adding roses as needed.

Thats what I thought Ricky which is why I wasn't worried at first, but when I saw they weren't on the website I freaked a bit!
Kaya, They are the Debut gold prom style with rose embellishments sewn in the fabric. They were a similar detail to the detail in my wedding dress, which is what made me fall in love with them :(
I will see what I can do - I don't have the sizes for the girlies so I will try and find them out too... My bms are all over the country too, so its a bit of a military operation.
Thank you for all your help and advice my lovelies! I will keep you all posted (ps. sorry for the delay in responding - I've been at work all day)

My bridesmaids are all over the place too, so it does make it difficult. The good thing is there is normally a Debs close to every1. With my bridesmaid in Essex, she went and tried on the dress and shoes, told me what size to get and then I sent my mum in the next day (as they live in the same town) to go and get them, and then sent her the money. People have said that I have gotten my dresses too early and what Ricky says its true Debs do tend to have the same style year on year but I just worried as I had my heart set on "those" dresses and as I got 50% off both it was a HUGE saving. xx

I'm so confused - found it on the website again, I just don't know whether to leave it or not (I'm so indecisive these last coouple of days) xx

I spoke to there customer servies the other day about some shoes, he told me that they try and keep the stock levels up on sale items and that I should keep checking daily. xx

I made this mistake, original wedding in Feb with a country theme, got 8 mink dresses. Now it is in Dec, ice blue theme! I wish that I had waited :-(
CommentAuthorBarbieBride
I know it sounds silly but I know exactly what I want, I already have my wedding dress too lol. xx

Nope it doesnt sound silly. I was in the same situation as you. Had mine planned in my head for years, but it was other peoples actions that meant we had to change.

well Barbie has tasked us (i'm one of her BM's) to find the dress and try it on... wish us luck!

Aww good luck - how did it go? I was in the same situation with discontinued dresses, mine from BHS...fell in love with the colour initially, then realised they suited most body shapes...too good to be true, had to get them! at a majorly discounted rate too! all good.
