I have a bra question ladies please, I am size 34GG or H depending on the style. Today arrived some strapless bras, so i tried them on....one fits the cup well, meaning i have no 'squidge' from the top or sides, and the bra don't wiggle or slip when i dance around the bedroom! BUT......its all it does, there is no 'uplift' at all. Is this what strapless bra's do in my size??
Now my dress, is strapless tie up back, so can go as tight as i like (hopefully with no back squidge) do i have the bra to keep myself in....and the dress to 'shape' me? or....do i need the bra to work miracles?..there are only a few few bras i can wear in my size strapless and the others are not fitting the cup well enough. I think i am due to go in for a fitting soon and need to get this task sorted out lol xx thanks xx

I feel your pain hun, 36H here. Mine are saggy though so strapless bra's arent going to work, I'll need a bustier or corset. From what I understand, the strapless bra is to hold them in before the dress is strapped up. I'm definitely having something incase my mahoosive boobs start to challenge the boning of my dress lol x

Have you looked at any of the bras of wonder (if you get my drift) as I think they are doing bigger sizes now. I am a 32E and they had one in my size but they are made to uplift so might work if you can get one? If not a corset is probably your best bet xxx

I'm with you on that one, That's my size too. It's a pain in the bum isn't it. I must admit I've only started wearing strapless bras more recently for the possibility that I may end up wearing one on the day. However I don't feel overly secure in it :( will the dress not be pulled in tighter under the bust area so that with hold your girls up? not sure on your breathing situation though lol x

I would say try Bravissimo. if you can get to one of the stores then they will be able to help you out. They are expert in the large boobage area. They sorted me with an amazing bikini and I intend to visit for my bridal undies. They do also do a catalogue and online ordering service but I'd suggest going to a store xx

I'm a 34FF, and I got the Panache Evie bra last week, for a strapless I felt really supported and had some lift! I went to a bra viss store and got re-measured there so have a look to see which stores are near you, plus the bra was a bargain at only £25, I usually pay over £30 to hold in my boys! Plus I usually wear a 38E but turns out my back size has come down a treat!
CommentAuthorzowie
Probably not what you need to hear but one of my bridesmaids is a g cup and our bridal shop actually recommended we have straps added to her dress as there would not be enough security with the strapless bra and her dress. Plus the weight of the boobs can make the material of the dress wrinkle on the stomach, obviously this is for a bridesmaids dress so the support isn't nearly as much as you would get in a corset style but what I mean to say is ask your dress shop as they will tell you how your dress will work with your shape xx
CommentAuthorGazza 122
My dress has some structuring and the ladies in the shop said it was ok as long as i had a bra to 'keep me from straying' i think the bra i have does that. but offers no shape at all. I put the dress on with just a normal bra and tucked the straps in and i think it was alright (the dress was a bit small so my acrual dress will have more fabric at the front also which i think will help! aarrgghhh to be endowed! grrr
CommentAuthorbridalmiss
Seriously try the Panache bra and when you put it on, I just had a bit of a wiggle and my bosom didn't flop! There's no seams on it either, trying it tomorrow at my first dress fitting and will let you know how it looks - when I originally went dress shopping I had an M&S one on and my top half looked like a shelf! The lady said that the Evie bra was the most popular one they sold to brides because of the shape it gives!
CommentAuthorGazza 122
I have just taken delivery of 3 different sizes of the panache superbra! they look enourmous!! lol
CommentAuthorbridalmiss
Honestly try the Panache Evie, it's cups are not cut as deep as the superbra and felt like I was being properly held up! :-)
CommentAuthorbridalmiss
Ps I know what you mean about being enormous, I've got some ultimo ones and they look like childrens hats!!

Bra update!
Just had a mission with these bra's again :(
I tried the Panache Evie on...in 3 different sizes (for fit) and all of them ...well, i may aswell go braless! they cannot cope with my 'assets' I have put the first one on again (Naturally close) the one that keeps me put but offers no shape.....so far, i am better with this one out of the lot, i am wearing it for a little while to see if it 'gives' at all.i have a wonder bra on order, but i recon i may fall out of it - but hey........i can always send it back! x

I have to be honest and say that I have kept putting off getting my bridal lingerie, as you all know buying a good bra sexy bra for our larger assets can be a nightmare and I have no idea what would be best to wear, I am a 38EE, and have never been able to get a strapless that holds my booglies in place, without me spilling out either to top, bottom or sides or it falling down and being no use at all. I would really like to wear a corset but wasn't sure you could wear one with a corseted strapless dress. Can you wear a corset with a corseted dress? My lingerie is the only thing I am dreading buying.

Hi Hun,
Apologies if someone else as written this, haven't read all comments. The bra I'm getting for my 32e size chesticles is an Evie bra. I've read really good reviews on it, I'm getting it but leaving tickets on it till after my fitting as I might be able to go bra less. If so I'll send back. My boobs are also a bit saggy so we'll see, can't imagine them being completely nakey underneath lol xxx

Why did you order 3 different sizes hun? Have you been into the brav issi mo shop? Go in and get fitted for one properly. I was told the Evie bridal bra is the best to support the larger bust as it has moulded cups and it goes up to a H cup. But Brav issi mo are bringing out their own branded strapless bra soon up to a K cup which will be similar to the Evie bra so should be good for us larger ladies.
I emailed Brav iss i mo for advice as I am a 32J and they said to get one of my best fitting bras and ask for it to be sewn into my wedding dress. So you could always try that.

I have always been 'different sizes' in different styles of bras ive even had the girls at the bra visimmo shop stumped! For me the evie bra was totally useless, didnt hold up or even down lol...i think im ok now, will know more when i take the 'hamock' with me for my fitting. it defo holds the bad boys in place - just hope that the dress can do the rest lol xxx fingers crossed xx

yes i also thought about that, but may have trouble with that showing through my dress :( xx such a pain isnt it! wish i could just go into a normal shop - pick one off the peg and say that'll do me! xx ggrrrr even with weight loss i havent gone down any cup sizes - just loads of inches on my back x

Im the same Kevsangel...
If it helps, my dress shop told me that as long as my chest is sitting in the right place, the dress will do the rest...although the bodice is squite structured.

Hi girls
This morning I have received an elomi occasions basque... and I'm absolutely over the moon! After trying all sorts of bras that made my b00bs look squashed/didnt support me at all or dug in, I got my elomi one through, tried it on and although it's a bit big (I went up a couple of back sizes due to it being a basque and me not being skinny) it's wonderful! The cups are boned so even tho my saggies were in there, they were lovely and rounded, it was comfy and supported perfectly despite being too big! Just to change for a smaller size but I'd highly recommend! x

Ooh they don't go up to my size ;o(
this is proving to be a right pain in the ar$e...I've just gone back onto Brav!ss!mo and ordered the Evie bridal basque and bra to try on in a the largest cupsize they do, I just went up in the back size as well which is an obscene way of doing it and it annoys me when others do it but I caved and panicked... Will just have to see how it fits.

Lol, I've got the opposite problem, trying to find a strapless bra that makes me look like I've got a cleavage! May have to settle for some sort of stuffing! (At least I've got a little more than my poor 32A bridesmaid!)

I would seriously consider going to a bra shop and having yourself fit for a bra. Even though I'm a 36 DD each bra is completely different and some don't even fit. I got fit for mine and it has made a massive difference to how my dress fits and I feel very confident in it. I'm not sure where you live but I can recommend one in Bingley, West Yorkshire x

Just me whos going bra'less then :/ lol im a 36F but with the hidden support & bones in the dress i dont need 1, its also a corset back. I tried it on with both a bra & it without & did prefer it without. Is this an option for you ladies?

Mrscarter2b - I have been fitted in Brav!ss!mo - it's the only shop I go to as they stock my size I was 34JJ but have lost 2.5 stone and now down to a 32J. Their strapless bras only go up to a H cup and it may work as the one I've bought (34J - due to that being the smallest back size) is ridiculous, no support and gives me big madonna boobs lol.

36F here and i found that the new hand style wonderbra's were the best they go up to G and even H cup i believe, well worth popping into Debs and trying them as they have a nude and ivory lace pattern and nude with black lace pattern.

Mrs Mann I have bought that one too, I'm normally a 32E but the back seems quite tight so going to change for a 34. I'm a bit weird because I have a big boob and a little boob! With the shape of this bra though I don't need to add a chicken filet in!
