Me and H2b have decided on silk flowers as they are cheaper and they last forever! We are buying a little bit of wedding stuff every month and I was just wondering, does anyone know how to store silk flowers? I've heard some horror stories of them discoloring an looking horrible on the day and I'm really worried this will happen and we will end up spending double :/

I would probably say that keep them out of sun light, somewhere not to hot and somewhere dry.

May be woerth trying to keep them upright if can so that they dont get squashed but dont know if there is a correct way to store them x

I agree with ShelleyM46 and Mrs brammer keep them out of sunlight, as i had some for my birthday a few years and they changed color if left the sun.

Don't forget to keep them covered and away from dust as well. It can be a real pain to get the dust off.

My mum made my bouquet from silk flowers. She kept them in a plastic carrier bag LOL! To transport them to Vegas, she popped it in a shoe box that had acid free tissue paper in it to line it, and that has where it has been for the past year!

I've kept mine in a box in the wardrobe. I got them out to check them (and to go through all my wedding things) a couple of weeks ago, and after 14 months they're still in really good condition.

Probably a little late in replying to the thread but perhaps email a company with some queries, one being how to store them?

    We're going for artificial flowers.
