For those that have bought their dress and storing it....I bought a zip up dress storage bag (should have realised when it was only costing me £5) My dress had only been in there hanging up for about 5 minutes when I noticed the bag seam was already coming away close to the hanger. Can anyone recommend a good place to get wedding dress storage bags or boxes please?

They say that a box is better than a bag as over time the weight of the dress hanging up can cause the dress to go a funny shape or start to tear. Not sure how true it is I just read it. Also the bag/box must be breathable and acid free or it could mark and stain the dress.

Just had a nosy at your link Becky and I've seen them exact boxes not decorated just the ribbon loads cheaper on a dress cleaning site and then you can decorate them yourself. Try and google wedding dress cleaning and they usually do the cleaning and box together.

    Hi,
A friend of mine bought a king size sheet and pinned it round he dress, and it stayed in the wardrobe for 12months and it was fine....with it being cotton it was breathable rather than a plastic dress bag......hope this helps
