I've tried searching for a relevant thread but can't find anything..
I really like the look of my veil, but it's quite stiff - not sure if it's because it's not very good quality? Is there any way I can soften it a bit? Someone suggested rinsing it in fabric softener - do you think this will work, or is there anything else that might do better?

yes i would do that as well plus if your tumble dryer has a very low setting, mabe put in there for a minute at a time keeping an eye on it maybe that would work.xx

i was thinking the same about my veil. it seems too stiff and i suggested to H2B about soakng it in softener, he said maybe its meant to be like that. i dont want to ruin it and make it look like an old rag lol i looked at some in the bridal shop last week with my friend and they seemed a lot softer and fell right where mine doesnt seem to (got mine from the bay of e) i might ask when i go to the shop for dress fitting :) x

21st October 2011 will be the best day of my life!!!

Think I'll give it a go - I'll see if I can borrow my mum's dryer too!
louby - I got mine from the bay too - it was cheap so not sure if it's just the quality - can't afford to buy another one but I'm not completely happy with it being so stiff. I want mine to fall over my arms nicely, but it doens't quite sit right because of it's stiffness!

How bout hanging it in the bathroom and steam it a little when the shower or bath is running.
Id be very carefull bout putting it in the dryer or washing it. i used to work in a dry cleaners and have seen a lot of lacy items like that shrink when they have been washed. Are there any lables on the veil?
