Hey, its getting close to the time we need to send off invites and we still have no clue. found these below but sure they will be out of budget. Is there anywhere we can get the materials from to make them ourselves?

I have found the first one is a gatefold invitation box so please could people help me find these boxes. I have seen one on ebay for a fiver but even that is too much unless I have to.

yes they are nice too, would just have to do something with the big writing as the names are just a tad too big. The more I look at it, I really like pic romantic wedding invitations but the website is just a pic, no offer of buying. Wonder what the material is because then maybe we could make something similar. I just think they look lovelly to oppen up but not keen on the diamante clasp as I think that needs to be softer.

For the second one, what about padding / covering gift boxes for dvd's? They would be fiddly to do but you could use faux silk instead of the real thing to keep costs down?

You probably could do it cheaper I would buy card board get padding, ribbon and some silk from a fabric shop,doesn't cost much for fabric, cover the card board in the fabric and deign as u prefer, I know it would be a lot lot cheaper to make ur self xx

ah thats a good idea. I never thought of padding. Brill. I will mention this to mil2b as she was going to attempt to make the invites first before we buy them so lets see if she thinks she can manage it.

the shop that makes craft a hobby has loads of material padding and gait fold boxes (i was looking at them yesterday). boxes ate in the wedding bit i think £1.50 each. hope this helps xx
