there is a slimming world thread so take a look!

i have been on it for 13 weeks and it is so easy! everyone is different so it is hard to say how long it will take. as long as you are happy for even a small loss each week it will keep you motivated!

to stay healthy you dont want to lose more than 1-2 pounds each week! xx

Its not that scary and usually most of the people in the group are really friendly and make you feel welcome. They don't go shouting out your weight so you don't have to worry about that. All they do is tell you how much you have lost or gained. I know lots of people that have lost loads on it. Never worked for me personally but I'm doing myfitnesspal and finding it works better for me. Its all about finding what suits you. They are brill at giving you great advice and if you get stuck there are loads on here that can give you advice.

It's really good! it's not hard at all; very flexible. I've lost nearly 2 stone since xmas - very easily really - haven't felt hungry or thought about 'dieting' too much. Plus I think it's a good plan for maintaining weight, as it teaches you a lot about cooking from scratch, nice recipes and adapting recipes to suit healthy eating. Unlike other diet plans, you can eat as bigger portions as you want for your meals xx

I never went to the meetings but my sister did and we both followed the plan last year and I lost 2 stone in about 6 months, it wasn't too bad! I really want to get back to it again now and lose about another stone before the wedding next year but can't get the motivation to start again! Hopefully I'll get back to it soon...! Good luck with your weight loss!

I satrted Slimming world last April and have lost 4 stone now and only half a stone to go to target. Its the best plan ive ever done and you should never be hungry and still have your little treats. I love it, thinking of becoming a consultant when i get to target :) x x x x x

A quick explanation is you can eat unlimited free food which is fruit, veg, lean meat, pasta, rice and potato. You have to then add a healthy extra a choice ( milk or cheese ) and a healthy b choice ( bread, cereal, ryvitas etc) every day and you get 5 to 15 syns a day to use on treats. Its amazing the amount you can eat. have a look on the slimming world website, you will get a better idea on there how it works x x x x

I am seriously considering joining as although I have managed to loose 18lbs on my own in the last few weeks I need a motivation kick from somewhere to keep myself going as have been lagging of late cause I've been so busy and have just grabbed food when I've had time. And I have a goal of 3st by my next birthday which is Christmas eve and would love to hit that initial target by then. Just had a look online to find out where my local club is so I may be a member by Friday morning. Good luck to all who are considering it. xx

Think I might try SW as I tried WW before but counting is not my forte lol!! Couldn't understand a lot of the labels on the foods either, but now that I have got a timeframe then maybe I will stick with it. Good luck to all who are trying xx
