Does anyone know this venue? We're hoping to get a viewing there soon (little tricky as they don't do weekend or evening viewings...'mazin) and had a quick look at the brief info offered. They say it's £1500 for 'dining and entertainment facilities' - to me this seems pretty vague! Hopefully it's including more than just the barn! Any ideas?

Yes, the Tithe Barn - think it's attached to or associate with Stanway House. Do you know it, 5th Nov?

Yeah I know it, I had a viewing there and I wasn't really impressed. I was told it could cater for upto 150 but when I got there I couldn't see how, it's doesn't look big enough. Also the quote I got given was way above what I was expecting! And yes it is just for the barn, you can't hire anymore of the grounds.

Where did you read that the price includes dining and entertainment facilities as I was told we had to get our own bar and caterers in?

We're having a smaller bash - only 50 for the day and maybe 80 in the evening. Did they say if the hire included anything like PA system, tables, linen, crockery/cutlery/etc? Or literally just the barn? Seems like a lot for just a blummin outhouse...

Well as far as I knew, you had to get your own caterers so they would supply all that stuff.. if your having a small wedding then its worth having a look I suppose

Thanks, fingers crossed! We're also going to look at the Great Tithe Barn , Grafton Manor and maybe Deer Park Hall as well, hopefully one of them will tick all the boxes.

Hi there, for those of you who did decided to go to Stanway and you've had your wedding. Would you be able to post any photo's of how you decorated the barn please? We're marrying there in 2014 but have to say I'm a bit daunted and worried about decorating it and making it look pretty! x

Just call them and ask what it means that's the best way to do it. And if its somewhere that you really want sure taking a day off work to go see it isn't a bad thing.
