I made all my RSVP cards yesterday, wrote my address on all of them and put them in the invites. But now I'm wondering whether I'm supposed to put a stamp on them? We're really tight on money for the wedding so could do without the added expense of stamping 50 odd envelopes.

    What are you guys doing?

Awesome! That makes them much cheaper! Lol. I wasn't sure as I've seen some people say you HAVE to stamp them, some say you can if you want and others say no. I've never received a wedding invite so didn't know what people actually did, haha

Thanks Becca, that's what I was thinking. And most people I know have a book of stamps at home anyway.

I would send them with out stamps people know you are planning a wedding and all the money will be going on that.I am trying to hand deliver as many as i can. But most are going overseas so they will need to have a stamp on

Yeah, true. Mine are going to Wales, London, Devon, Southampton, Spain and America. Unfortunately Ben and I and my CBM are the only ones from Bristol that are going so cant really hand deliver any. Haha

We're not putting stamps on even for the international guests. We're setting up an online RSVP service via our wedding website, we've got email, Facebook and mobiles so it doesn't have to cost anyone a penny to RSVP

    It's right what they say
"The course of true love never runs smoothly"
But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D

Sadly I think the only way you will guarantee to get MOST of your replies IS to put a stamp onto your SAE :( ... It's unfair that we should have to go to such an expense AND promote some peoples idleness at the same time lol

Technology has SOO much to answer for lol .... I recently have just sent my 40th birthday party invitations, I found it quite ironic that the bottom of the invitation's RSVP is by : email, mobile number or land line number !! :P

Im not going to put stamps on the rsvp's but i am thinking of putting cd's on the table for people to put their pictures on and send back to us, so i am seriously considering supplying jiffy bags already addressed and stamped with large stamps, as hopefully then more people will send disks back to us, without the hassle of going to the post office and making sure the jiffy has the correct stampage on it, which might put people off

Awesome! Thank you girls! I was a bit worried that people would think I was being cheeky by not putting one on, but it seems the norm to not stamp them :-) x

We didn't put stamps on ours but we did put menu choices - hopefully that'll mean that most of the day guests will respond because they'll want to chose what they are going to have to eat x
