So I've got my wedding dress, it's quite tight, I've lost just over 2 stone since augustand my wedding is September, I generally quite happy with my figure now,I don't want to be skin and bone, and I would say I'm a curvy 12 5''2 my fiancé lives my ody and always comments on it,especially the areas I hate the most, he says I have a hour glass figure and loves it. But I still feel abit self conscious about it. S my dress did look amazing on and they told me not to loose any more weight, but I'd feel more comfortable maybe loosing at least another 7lbs, but I'm just wondering if it would be ok to wear like spa nx under my dress just to really smooth on my stomach area? What do you all think? X

I havent tried Spanx personally but I have tried a body sculpting slip under a dress which is made from the same material. Although it wasn't uncomfortable to wear so to speak, I did find the constant pressure on my tummy wasnt great, and I found especially with eating/drinking, I ended up getting tummy cramps where I was so restricted. If you're thinking of it, get some and give them a trial run on the day as you dont want to be feeling rubbish x x

Yeah hmm I'm worried abut the toilet situation too lol I just don't want to look back on my wedding photos and look like a whale!

Yeah, I really really struggled to get the stupid thing off... I am very feeble and weak! But needless to say, for me, the slip was cut out from dress and promptly put in the bin!! x x

Haha oh god! Would a waist corset, if that's such a gang be better? Oh gosh I dunno what to do
I wear spanx occasionally but won't on my wedding day, they are just too uncomfortable and restricting!

A waist corset can actually add inches so I'd be careful with one of those. If it's just 7lbs it might be best to alter your diet in the week leading up to the wedding to reduce water retention and bloat. There are sp@nx (higher p0wer) that have a special gusset so you can use the toilet while wearing them. I agree with Izzy it is quite a workout to get in & out of, in addition to them being very expensive. That said I know a bride that wore them on her wedding day with no problems. My biggest recommendation for using the toilet on your wedding day (spanx or not) is to sit on the toilet backwards - it makes it all so much easier.

Definately try them first - they are quite uncomfortable, as others have said.
Also, this might be just me, but wearing them makes me feel sooo unattractive - not what I want on the wedding day!
What about just doing some exercises designed to tone the tummy muscles?

have you looked into this universal contour wrap? It guarantees at least 6' loss all over your body the day you have it. and can smooth all problem areas that may bug you. im having one on thursday and will see how it works. maybe thats something you could look into? It's not cheap by all means but guarantees smoothing and stuff there and then. I spoke to a woman at the spa about it and she had a client who was size 14... had a few 'rolls' on her stomach, and 2 hrs later was quite smooth over. It lasts at least 30 days minimum.
Something to think about, no hassle or funky undies on the day? xx

I wouldn't wear spanx under dress as you can't relax and enjoy yourself. I sometimes wear them under certain dresses if I am going out and can never be 'myself' plus it makes going too the loo difficult, it will be difficult in a wedding dress anyways. xxx
