So I had my hen do last weekend and it was amazing! For some reason I was nervous but I had a great time.

We had booked it over a year ago for a spa break, which I have always wanted to do and got a great deal. It was only a small party, 8 of us, which was what I wanted.

I got picked up from mine at 10am and was taken to a lovely spa hotel in Basingstoke where we had managed to get two of our rooms straight away. Half of the party was already there so we went straight up to meet them in the rooms and i neasrly panicked when i saw someone in the corridor holding a blow up man! Thankfully he was not for me, there was another hen there. Check in was at 3pm but we wanted to use the facilities all day so get there early (11am).

We dropped off our bags and went down to the lounge for a drink to discuss how things would go. Our spa treatments would be done in groups of 4, one group at 1 and the other at 2pm. I choose who would come with me (mum, moh & fmil) and went for the 2pm slot. Our lunch was at 12 so didn't want to have to rush into the spa. We had a lovely buffet lunch all together and chose our evening meals for the night. The selection at the buffet was amazing so we really stuffed ourselves.

Half went off to the spa and my group went upstairs to get changed and go down to the pool. We had a laugh all 4 of us getting ready in one room whilst everyone compared what they would wear to the pool! We then went down and were given robes and slippers to wear all day. After being shown round we went to the adult pool and had a lovely swim before drying off in the sauna before our spa treatments. I chose a back mask, massage and leg massage - it was amazing! I was taken into thus lovely scented private room where the massage bed had a heated blanket on all under the towels. After getting myself ready the lighting was dimmed and the back treatments began. After getting a brush down and back scrub the back mask was put on and i was wrapped up in tin foil! They then worked on my legs and finished up on my back massage after washing off the mask. It was heaven and the hour just flew by. I have never felt so relaxed in my life and my back felt amazingly soft!

We then meet up with the others at the pool and after sometime wenty to the lounge (in our dressing gowns) for a drink and I was presented with presents from everyone that told a story of how they meet me and I had to guess who they were from and the story behind it. It was harder than it sounds but very funny and I got some nice things. After my first glass of wine if the day we went back for a swim and sauna before getting ready for dinner.

Dinner was booked for 7:30 and the table was all decorated with balloons and parry favor bags. Here I had a tailor made veil, bride to be sash, L plates and two garters. Of course I put the garb straight on in true spirit and we started on the 4 bottles of free champagne we had been given! The food was amazing and we got through the champagne with no trouble. Before dessert we did a who knows the bride best quiz, which was good fun and then opened the willy version of party poppers over the place. It was so funny and after making so much mess we went to the bar until midnight. When I thought it was all over my mum invited everyone back to our room where we had another bottle of champagne and strawberries!

Needless to say I didn't get much sleep and drank a lot but managed to get up and have breakfast the next morning before checking out and heading shopping

Clair it was the County (hint) Court Hotel - thoroughly recommend it and the spa treatments are well priced. I will definitely be going back!
