I have been lost in the wonderful world of google, trying to find info about the first marriage, how or why it all started and why to this day is it still going.

I came across this story, have to say that it opened my eyes and made me ask new questions.

In Hebrew myth, Lilith was the first wife of Adam, the first man.
(Eve, according to this legend, came later.)
However, the couple didn’t get along at all, primarily because Lilith, who was made concurrently with Adam, considered herself Adam’s equal and refused to be subservient to him.
According to legend, she refused to lie beneath Adam when making love, and he went complaining to God.
Lilith’s feminist stance led to her vilification in later legends.
She is most commonly portrayed as a vampire, a child eater, a man killer, and the mother of demons.

What is it about "marriage" or the "wedding ceremony" that appeals to you?

I always admired the legends of Lilith. Before taking on SpecialSundae, my usernames on forums always used to include Lilith.

Despite the breakdown of my parents marriage, it means a lot to stand up in front of my friends and family to say "this is the person I love and who I want to spend the rest of my life with".
