Hello ladies... been so long since i have been on here properly... been quite poorly an had lots of uni and work commitments. anyway trying to get back into the swing of things.
few things on my mind that i would like some help with....
    1. 8 months till we get married (january 2013) and i dont want to get caught out by the xmas postal service... how soon should i buy my sweets and love hearts could i do it now or leave it a bit closer??

    2. has anyone had the trivia boxes (were only got 22 people) thinking the trivia boxes on the tables would make the evening more relaxed and a bit of a laugh, or am i just over thinking.

    3. should i invest in childrens colouring, sticker books (ive seen like an activity bag for £1) as we have 2 small children so they will be sitting with all the adults, but at least they have something to occupy themselves with.

    suggestions please..thanks ladies xx

we have done favour bags for the kids and we only have 5 attending, we just chucked colouring books crayons and pencils, sharpener and toys in there along with a drinking cup with a lid and straw on just in case.

Table trivia i wanted to do from the start but i couldn't get them for a decent price but i found them in the craft of hobby in the clearance so i bought them but i am one short not that it matters i don't think. I've got them for ice breakers although all the families are sitting together its just something to do i suppose while waiting for each course

buy your sweets to spread the cost just be wary of dates i sent an email to a seller on ebay to ask the expiration dates and she said they were june this year but as soon as she gets any with a longer date on she would let me know, surely she did and i got my miniatures with long dates on back in december so i'm spreading the cost

Hay hunni nice to see you back :-)
    ok
1,I think you can get sweets and chocolate no earlier then 6 months before your wedding? But if your ordering online email them first and ask for their opinion of how long they will last etc

2, We are having them, got them off the bay and will be putting a box on each table during the meal as we are mixing the famlies up we thought these would get everyone talking!

3, If you only have two children then yes I would. Its a long day for them and they will get bored so these will keep them happy!
You can get different things for them to do depending on budget and age. Wilkinsons have some fab things in like finger puppets, cross stitch, mask making etc for a couple of quid each. Colouring books are always good and as we have around 12 children we have also done a photo hunt for the kids to do with a disposeable camera.
Or what about some giant games to go outside like jenga or even a bounchy castle......keep them AND the adults busy hehehe

I will be having lots of kids of different ages at the wedding, Im planning on making them a little craft bag each, making puzzle books, getting some crayons (no pens! I dont think colouring pens at a wedding is a good idea!) the older ones will get a camara and an Ispy game, the younger ones a little teddy & a story book or something.

Even if it was just my two girls at the wedding I'd make them some little packs to keep them amused. I dont want to spend more than £20 on all the pack and i'll need about 15, so we shall see how I get on!
