I know... Scary to think it is less than 3 years!! I changed our wedding date on here and it suddenly said 'Getting married in 35 months' .... We started freaking out a little haha!! We've been planning our honeymoon too now so we can work out exact finances - Thinking off doing a tour of all our favourite places in France (I used to live there as well) and finishing off with a couple of days in Disneyland Paris!! Yes, we are still children lol. 3 weeks in France - Bliss!!!!!!! Got my sister all excited too as she's like 'I get to go dress shopping sooner!' bless her! xx

Thanks Lana2BMrsHands - I'm over the moon :) It feels like it is actually guna happen now we've brought it forward to 2016 cos when it was 2017, it felt so far away and that we'd never get there!! Plus, family and stuff can't get so annoyed about planning now cos it's closer woop!! January is what, 18 months away for you?? Maths was never my strong point lol.
As we are a gay wedding, the obvious church wedding we wanted was out so we've got a beautiful country house with the ceremony in the great hall, followed by a blessing in their own chapel as a compromise as long as we bring our own vicar which won't be a problem! Then, we go back to my hometown down the road to have piccies on the beach and cobb with maybe a sneaky few round the back of the church as there's a little path the locals all know then it's onto the hall decorated out by our own fair hands.. Colour scheme and rough bridal party sorted and all sorts of other little details sorted like flowers, designs.. Wish it was next year though!! xx

nope :) Been engaged since the beginning of June, and with every purchase and little bit I get booked and done, I get that little bit more euphoric!! lol

I know that's what everyone keeps telling me GillianE, the fact that we've just chopped off a year is scary seeing so many days fall off our countdown!
SuzanneS89 - I have a wife-to-be not a husband-to-be ;) and she is as thrilled as I am! I'm glad you don't have to postpone your wedding, it must be gutting if you have to do that. My W2B's parents had to do that the year they married as both their dad's died within 6 weeks of each other the month before their wedding so they ended up marrying the year later and weirdly, only 10 days after my parents haha!!

Thank you all, you are a great bunch and so supportive, wouldn't miss this help for the world!!

That's ok, not worried and generally people assume unless I say, just easier if I mention now rather than later to save confusion! :)
It is helpful having parents that can help like that, it's the reason we can bring it forward too as the W2B's family are quite well off too :P

Oh bless her, well it's only fair given that they helped out your brothers though. My parents would do the same for both my sister and I I think, although it won't be much, they will do what they can I'm sure. We are going to make our own decorations, invitations, flowers and cake (I'm a good baker, have a little cake business and can't wait to get creating!) as it's cost effective but also more personal I think :)

VERY!!! We've been planning honeymoon and cake ideas today (I'm making the cake btw!)... Looking like a 3 week tour all over France (my second home practically as I used to live there!) and finishing off with a few days in Disneyland Paris at the end before driving home!!!! :D xx

Thanks, a couple of days ago we actually looked at Hawaii after seeing you went there but really, we will both be graduates and just won't get the value for the money we have if we do France instead so France will out as it were!! xxx

Haha, I thought you might say that!! Can I ask how much you spent roughly? I'd be interested to know if it compares to what we've been researching! I've always wanted to go to Hawaii but that will probably have to another time now that we've moved the wedding forward... A price to pay but I'd rather bring the wedding forward a year if we can than wait forever to get Hawaii. We can always go for an anniversary :D great excuse to celebrate again eh!! ;)
