Hi, my H2B and I are not traditionally romantic. We don't have a date that we got together or anything, and we don't have a song. We need to pick a first dance song. I think something we can dance to a little bit, rather than too slow. But not too fast either! Any suggestions?
I'd like something with nice lyrics, a little bit relevant to the day. H2B is in the military and we are having the wedding at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst. I don't know if there are any songs that link to that.

Have you thought of the Coldstream Guards (I think thats what they are called). Not lyrics but would tie in perfectly with you wedding. Even better if you can find anyone to play live too, so of there music is so amazing. x

What about going through your iPods and pick some songs together. Most love songs are about breaking up when you listen to lyrics so good to hear the words first

I have picked a few songs which me and my fiancé like and they seem appropriate for the occasion but I just want a few other ideas and out of the ones ive picked I don't know which to have to walk down the aisle and which one to have as our fist dance? I was thinking bruno mars - just the way you are (acoustic version) to walk down the aisle and christina perri - a thousand years as our first dance. I also want modern songs, any opinions would be great, thanks in advance x

I like amazed by lonestar it has awesome lyrics Im thinking of having that to walk down the aisle to but not the lonestar version the speeded up dance version (its not speeded up to much) by dancin djs'. I love the song as it has lyrics in it such as "I dont know how you do what you do, Im so in lov with you, just keeps getting better, I wanna spend the rest of my life with you by my side forever and ever", I love the fact that every line describes how I feel about my other half. I might even have the slow version to walk down the aisle to and the dance version for my first dance.

We pick a load of songs we liked each, shorted listed them then the last five we dance to, to see how we felt wiv them. However we did pick 'elvis' can't help falling in love ( brought tears to my eyes) but then one day we were playing the killers in the car and I just changed my mind to their song human!! Human was on the short list & we always said that b our first dance plus hubby was having second thoughts from elvis.... I felt like the first dance was the start of the disco and it felt right ( I know human isn't a lovely dovely song but we love it) then at our Vegas wedding the bloke dressed as elvis song can't help falling in love any how so it was our first dance at our second wedding lol
