What are you all having as your something old? I'm really stuck on this one. My mum has offered me a ring but it's in gold and all my other jewellery is of silver colour. . .

Something old - maybe my grans pearls, new - not sure but easily covered, borrowed - grans pearls again... if that's 'allowed', something blue I'm stuck for, I'm not sure how it'll fit in with my colour scheme of gold, brown and ivory... need to think about that x
how old does it need to be?? My engagement ring was my MIL2B's and it was bought 35 years ago.....is that old enough to count?

Im borrowing an old silver sixpence from my fil2b !!!!!
CommentAuthorAbbey
Dee, are you going to be wearing a garter? If so your could sew your Mum's gold ring to that just for the wedding day. That way the gold won't ruin your look x
CommentAuthorJellybabylin
Jill - i've bought a garter if N2B's footie colours (black and white) but it has a tiny baby blue bow on the inside as my something blue. thought he would LOVE that its black and white!

something new is going to be the dress :D something blue I got a little charm with a horseshoe and blue crystals on it, something old could be the six pence which is from 64 and borrowed dont know yet maybe some jewelry or so...
CommentAuthorMina
my something new is my outfit, my something borrowed is a lace shawl from my step mother in law to be, my old is a chain bracelet that was a birthday present from my Great Uncle a few years back and my something blue is my new underwear :)
CommentAuthorAnnette
I don't know what my "old" will be, probably ask my grandma if she has something I could use, I need a brooch for my wedding dress for example... something "new" will be my jewelery, the dress- basically everything lol. "Borrowed" will probably be a hair clasp my best friend lent to me yeeeeaaaars ago and never asked for it back, so I'm wondering if she'll notice. Something "blue" will prolly be my garter, as many others have

My "something old" is a ring my late grandfather gave me when I was a baby. Its tiny (to fit a baby, obviously) so I'm going to attach it to my bouquet. My grandfather died when I was 8 and although I didn't see him much (he lived in India) I love him dearly and it would be great to have something from him on the day.
The only thing I'm struggling with is my something borrowed. Might end up being a hairpin from my mum.
