i'd never heard ofh the sixpence bit, cvan i tape on to the underside of my sole, like where the heal meets my foot??? cos i dont want to slip and it wouldn't stay in my shoe!!! lol

I don't want to have to put the sixpence in my shoe!!! Surely it would be really uncomfortable?! My mom had never heard of that tradition either - I think she thinks I've made it up. Lol.

I hadn't heard of the sixpence either until I saw it on TV, can't remember the show but the bride's mum stitched a sixpence into the bride's garter :) But I won't be having a garter so that rules that one out!

I haven't tried it out but I am planning on having the six pence in my shoe for the actual ceremony and then take it out agsin. If it's really uncomfortable or distracting I won't do it.

Nules what is your colour scheme? Maybe wear sapphire earrings, bracelet with a blue charm or even blue edged handkerchief? My colour scheme is blue so I'm ok on that one.

Sorted my borrowed today too, my mum is going to loan me her swarovski bangle that we bought her for her 50th birthday ( a 'few' years ago lol)

    My somethings:
old/ borrowed: I'm thinking of asking to borrow my nans temple sealing ring...(i was taken on a trip to the mormon temple as a kid and told my grandad secretly to marry nanny in the temple, a few weeks later he did just that and when she passes that ring becomes mine)

New: just about every thing i will be wearing

Blue: a singular blue rose incorporated into my bouquet

Thanks for the advice. Cracked it! Something old is a hatpin of my Gran's that my grandad bought her. Going to pin it into the bouquet handle. Something new is my dress. Borrowed is my sister in laws tiara. Something blue..... I'm not a girly girl and don't wear proper shoes so I am having some all star baseball boots custom made in my wedding colours ( ivory and purple) so I can wear them again. I am having Mrs Moo embroidered down the side in blue. ( my married name will be Morgan, but I have always called H2B Mr Moo) Thoughts? Sounds a bit rubbish, but looks amazing! Will post a pic x

After months opening this thread I think I have also found my last thing the something borrowed. My mum is curreny here in the UK for a visit and brought me a medal pin from my great granddad and a brooch and scarf pin from my great grand mother - one of these will be my something borrowed.

We have decided that we want to do our Old, new, borrowed, blue throught the songs we are having for signing of the register and walking out after being married.

Walking in to Elton John- Your Song

Old: Madness- it must be love (i wanted house of fun but was told it was not appropriate!!)
    New: Ed Sheeran- lego house
Borrowed: Eva Cassidy- Songbird (my mum and step dads song)
Blue: this one we are a bit stuck on, we were thinking Eiffel 65- Blue just to add a bit of humour or something by Blue.

My old is probably going to be my bra as its one that sticks to your boobs and is expensive so im not buying another one unnecessarily! My new will be numerous things as ill be wearing pretty much all new things (except the bra!) My borrowed is going to be my mums diamante watch as its lovely and delicate and i have a blue garter but i may change this as i dont really want to wear one! I might buy a cheap blue ring or paint my toe nails blue lol

Something Borrowed: My mums ear rings and possibly a necklace... im not an accessory person, so may wear the ear rings only

Old: Could my engagement ring count? otherwise I am struggling.
New: Dress, shoes, tiara, veil ...... pretty much everything lol.
Borrowed: No idea - perhaps I could borrow a hair clip or something?
Blue: Was thinking of having pale blue underwear.
