what are you all doing girls for the old tradition; something old, something new....?

i want to take this tradition on for our wedding day and i have found an old ring and dove decoration from my grandparents' wedding cake, which i am going to have stitched into my dress.

im just at a loss as to what type of things you 'borrow'. i have thought about asking my stepdad if he would be willing to let me wear my deceased mums' wedding ring on the other hand, so i feel she is near to me. i do currently wear one of my mums rings on a day to day basis but i want something a bit more special!. xx

I've not even thought about that yet... something else to look forward to!

marie I think that's a lovely idea with the decoration!

My gran bless her has gone and arranged to get her wedding dress cleaned and i'm not supposed to know - it's definitely not going to be happening (apart from anything else I'll never fit into a size 10) but I thought it was nice of her to think like that.

I think I'll wear the earrings and bracelet my fiance got me for our first valentines together as they're beautiful... would they be considered old enough?

    New will be my dress

Borrowed I dont know about... maybe a necklace from my mum

Blue... Garter I suppose as my theme's gold/brown so I cant really have anything that's on show x

Does the blue not have to be on the bride then? So long as it's incorporated into the wedding? I think that's lovely jo x
