Most of my outfit will be new
My tiara is second hand-does that count as old?
Think I'll get a blue garter, seen a white one with a tardis charm on, tempted by that
My something borrowed is going to be some of my friends jewellery from her wedding, probably a bracelet depending on what I end up buying myself.

New will be dress, rings etc
    old will be nanna's brooch
blue will be an embroidered flower which is already in the petticoat of the dress
borrowed will probably be pearls that my nan had wrapped around my bouquet, as i'm not wearing a necklace

I've seen sixpences for sale on the bay. Personally I'm not superstitious at all so won't be bothering with the something old/new etc. When my FSIL got married her Gran lent her a bracelet which had a little lamp charm attached and inside the lamp was a blue genie - hopefully my FSIL asked her Gran for the bracelet otherwise I may end up having to wear it too out of politeness.

I'm really struggling on old and borrowed! Pretty much everything will be new and my jewellery has a blue stone, and it's my favourite colour so will be everywhere lol. I could have borrowed my sisters veil but it's the wrong colour. I literally have no idea what I could use for old and borrowed x

My mum made me a veil when i was younger and I have kept it for my special day :) thats my something old. Apparently its the MOH job to find all of this for me so that is what my sister is doing! keeps her happy anyway :)

me either, i think she wants to do it as shes going to be crap at everything else and she is very opinionated and doesn't like dress shopping for a start! Keeps her happy i suppose

Did you actually want to borrow a garter or has she just said it out of the blue? I don't think it would be wierd if you two share clothes all the time anyway and have touble telling your clothes from hers but if this is the first thing you'll have borrowed from her then I think you might feel more comfortable on the day wearing your own and borrowing a necklace or something instead.

    This is what I had;

Something old= an old pendant my mam gave me a few years ago
Something new= my dress and veil
Something borrowed= I borrowed a brooch from my hubby's auntie, that belonged to his grandmother. It was nice to involve his side of the family in this tradition.
    Something blue= my shoes.

A lucky sixpence in your shoe; well I had two..... a woman at work gave me hers. Apparently, it's traditional in her family to pass it on...
I also got one from my seamstress, who altered my wedding dress.

I put the gifted one under my insole, of one of my wedding shoes. I still have the unused one to gift to someone one day. Maybe a neice or future daughter, maybe.

she just offered it as I was saying I had no idea what to use for my something borrowed, we don't really share clothes or anything as they don't live locally but she's lovely and I thought it was a nice offer just not sure if it would be a bit strange with it being her garter!
