We have had to postpone our wedding three times now, things are looking bleak and my world is crashing down bride to be really needing a miracle right now. I'm 18 and my partner is 22 we have been together for three years and have two lovely boys. We have tried everything to get the money for a wedding, nothing fancy just a special day to remember. He was unfairly dismissed and i cant seem to find a job and now neither can he. I think i have finally hit rock bottom. Please if anyone can cheer me up please do i need it!!!!!!!!!!

Bless you hun. Do you have any family members or friends that could help with photos, buffet, loan of a wedding dress, wedding cake etc. I don't mean paying for it, as some people might be offended but If they could offer to do things for you instead of wedding presents this may cut your costs down dramatically. Me and my other half could never afford to get married and we have been together for 20 years when we get married next year. I would have preferred to have been wrinkle free before I got married and not been a Nana, lol but I will be marrying the man I love and it's better to be later than never.

A lot of people nowadays are getting married in a registry office, it's not as expensive as a church and most r are pretty nice! If you have a friend willing to drive you there then that would save alot too, just put some ribbon on to make it look wedding like. Then you could go back to your house and ask a friend to help out doin a BBQ n put some pretty decorations up in the garden! It would save you a fortune, buy a load of disposable cameras and ask all your guests to take picture throughout. You could also ask each guest to bring a dessert or some food of some kind to help out and say that could be a wedding present. You could possibly get someone to help make the cake failing that m&s got some good cakes at a good price or even asda do the plain White cakes in different sizes that you could just build urself and add some flowers or something too. If u have the reception at home it makes it more personal and saves alot. There's so many things you could do to cut costs and still a memorable day! You can always start saving later on and go somewhere amazing to renew ur vows at a later day. Try not to let it get you down Hun, I know it can b hard but the main thing is that ur together! :-D hope that helps. Xx

its so hard at the moment to get a job i think so my heart does go out to you both. maybe just do a very simple wedding save as much as you can dont keep yourself though ask someone to keep it for your coz if your like most and when times are hard you will dip into it and it will soon be gone. ask family members what their talents are for cake? photographer? invites, favours etc... there will be ways around it hun and keep looking for bargains too xx

sorry this is happening but it seems like a lot of ppl are postponing at the mo. Cheer up as you can enjoy being engaged that little while longer and start saving money before setting the date so you know what you can afford and when. Good luck in the job

Awww Dee hun why does nothing go right? If he has been unfairly dismissed I would take it to an employment tribunal if they find he was unfairly dismissed they can demand big compensation for it which may help until other work comes along! xxx
