    Hi ladies

Ok so I am a bit stuck as to what to do about my bra under my wedding dress. My dress has a sweetheart neckline and has tulle shoulder straps. The dress is massively big at the moment around the bust area due to my very small chest (34a) so Im having to have it altered quite a lot.

So I have a dilemma about what to wear, I need to go strapless and theres no way I can go without a bra/padding as I'd have no shape. I have a strapless bra but when I put my chicken fillets in to give me a bit more shape/volume) the bra slips down due to weight!! Im hoping that this might be different when the dress fits properly as it will be more supportive?!

Can anyone suggest a good strapless bra for the smaller chest?? I have been looking at the Wonderbra 'fingers' one but dont know if its any good!!

    Thanks

Hi, I have the same issue. My dress is strapless sweetheart and is shaped. I loved it and actually wanted to go bra less for a first time in my life. However my first fitting in my actual dress I was asked if I was as wearing a bra... I said no, and the seamstress said it would give me a better shape, which it does.

I found the wonder bra fingers one, squashed what little I have and made me look like I have. Absolutly nothing. La senza do a fab strapless bra at £35 which is convertible. I have found this doesn't slip and gives me boobies!

My seamstress is stitching the bra into the dress so it is not visible through the sweetheart neckline. X

i absolutely love my wonderbra fingers one...its by far the best strapless bra I have ever owned it literally doesn't move on me, i have been out all night and got home the next day and not had to readjust it once!...i suppose it all depends on what shape you are and personal taste...maybe try it on and try the la senza one as suggested above and see which one you prefer...and make sure you get the right size. xx

^^What kittyharris said. I don't have one myself, but loads of people recommend them.

I would also say that even with extra padding in a properly-fitting bra should not slip down. A lot of people wear the wrong bra size and typically they are wearing too big a band size and too small a cup size, so I would suggest measuring yourself and checking your wearing the right size (there are loads of websites that are really good; you input your measurements and they calculate your size, and I find it more accurate than getting measured in a shop. As a rough guide, a 32D, 34C and 36B are all equivalent in terms of the volume of the cup, but will fit differently round the back. I was wearing a 34D for years, but have now discovered I should be wearing a 28F or 30E, and the difference in fit and support is significant.

I also have the same problem, the seamstress has said that it's amazing what a properly fitted dress can do and also she could stitch some padded cups into the dress to help give some ooomph

I got a strapless bra from Debenhams that had removable gel fillets and straps in it so you could have a boost if you wanted to. It's the best bra I've ever owned! Gives a really nice shape and support, I think it was about £26. I agree with the ladies though, make sure you get measured, I thought I was a 32A and it turns out I'm a 30C!
