I started a thread earlier asking if anyone knew of any bargains or sales on and one of the moderators - think it was Lala told me that there were a few threads about bargains which I looked at and got some great ideas from.

I found the bridesmaid dressed that liked the other day but wasn't sure whether or not to take the plunge and buy them as the wedding is a while away but because of the price I went for them though hopefully will still like them when then arrive.

Then I went on b*h*s and found some great shoes. All of which can be found in my albums.

    Bridesmaid dresses x2 = £26 (Originally £138 for both)
Heeled wedding shoes (actual ceremony) - £13.50 (Originally £45)
Flat wedding shoes for evening reception - £6.60 (Oringally £22)

Total cost about £50 with the delivery with a saving of £159.40!!! So chuffed; so if anyone is on a budget; definitely check out the current sales at various places :D

Excellent. I got my bridesmaid shoes from there a long time before the wedding as well for £6 and they were the perfect match for the dresses they wore.

I've had a look on there and there are some great bargains, but I can't by my bridesmaids anything at the mo as they are going to be my young daughters and they will grow quite a bit in the next two years.

Well done for getting such a huge saving though x

Fair enough but thank you :) My bridesmaids aren't going to change too much in size I don't think but if they do I can either sell the dresses or adjust them. It was just to good of a bargain to pass up :D

My shoes were from B*H*S and cost me £8, reduced from £25 in the end of season sale which i think was in the summer.

Yeah I've seen some of the stuff in there - some great bargains :) I do not plan on getting anything just yet if I can help it ;) But if I come across anything for a great bargain then I'd be stupid to pass it up :P

Fantastic bargains! The only bargain I've enjoyed was buying my wedding shoes for £23 instead of £40 and getting a garter for a pound. All from the same shop as you. I spoke to the cashier when I bought my shoes and garter and she said when the time gets closer to her wedding she's going to buy a lot of her stuff there because she gets staff discount. They stuff they do is so lovely.

Don't blame her; I don't want to go overboard at the moment as it is just over 21 months away but I loved the shoes I brought and they might have gone back up in price if I had waited :P

Oh no Egan, can you not send the other dress back and buy the one on sale? :S

Well done! I totally agree... I went to the non-bridal section at debs and found my shoes in the sale... as there was a slight mark I asked for another pair (the mark subsequently has come off!) but they didn't have any in my size... so she knocked an extra 10% off so they were about £22! win! Deffo worth shopping around and haggling!
