I have been relatively stress free in the planning so far, but it's come to the dress and I am so stressed!!! I have tried on 33 so far (yes keeping count lol) and none of them have been "the one"...one came really close with the top half took my breath away but I didnt like the bottom at all! I cant afford to have one made and im so worried what if i dont find it? Im also starting to get a bit sick of trying them all on, its so tiring and overwhelming!

How many did you have to try on before your found yours? How do I know when im being too fussy and may just have to pick one!!?xx

Yeah all the women in the shops try to offer different dresses based on what i like/dont like but the thing is every single one i have tried on i always like the top half...its the bottom im really fussy on! Tried looking online for the one i really loved with a different bottom but no luck.
I know all my friends say they just knew, like yourself, im worried i wont get that feeling and have to 'settle' xx

I haven't gone yet as don't need to but you will find the one; don't despair!

Have you found any online that you like? You could always take pictures with you and ask if the shops have anything similar. Good luck gun. You will find your dream dress xxx

Have you looked at the find your dress tool on here? It gives you lots of ideas and then helps you to find shops that stock similar. Don't be afraid to try things on that aren't what you think you want. I've ended up with something totally different to what I was looing for, but I fell in love with it.

Oh thank u so much for all ur lovely replies!! You have made me feel a lot better I really was at the end of my tether last night after more shopping! I have looked online and found one I really love struggling to find somwhere that stocks it though! I've just done the dress tool thanks Elinor I've sent off for some quotes :)
Knowing that some of you had to really search too has put my mind at ease a bit, just everyone I know said it was within the first 3 they tried on! I always said I'd go into it with an open mind and not say no to anything thinking this was a good thing to do, but actually now I think no I should stick with what I know I like! Although the dress that was NEARLY the one lol was a halter neck and I thought I'd go strapless!

Lmc I tried that in 3 shops and they all bought me something completely hideous lol but I think it's because sometimes when they were asking what I didn't like about a certain dress I couldn't quite put my finger on what is was, so I wasn't helping them get an idea of me lol?! I haven't got n3tflix but would it be something I could g00gle/u tub3??

Please don't settle for a dress! I promise you will put a dress on and just know its THE dress :)

I felt like you after finding a dress I loved but it being way out of budget. Until I tried my dress on... Wow, I can't even explain how you'll feel when you find it but you will just know.

You still have time to find your dream dress so please don't worry; keep searching and researching what you like and don't like and take some pics along to your appointments so they have something visual to base your style on. Also, try EVERY style dress on. Keep us updated xx

I agree - I didn't think I would find the dress. I have tried on lots of different styles and finally found one that I didn't want to take off. In fact had I been on my own I would have probably bought it but my bridesmaid etc said to keep looking at different styles. I have done that and now can't get this other one out of my head. None have come close to matching how I felt in it. Keep going and don't get disheartened - you will definitely find it. x

Thank you ladies, ive made another 2 appointments for a couple of weeks time, I dont have a lot of spare time at the moment so was also worrying about the ordering time, one shop told me 6-9 months and that made me even more nervous! Will keep you updated, thanks for all the votes of confidence...keep your fingers crossed for me!! :) xx

from experience most shops will try to get you a sample of the dress to try on but it will be whatever sample size the designer has - they tend to only have 1 or 2 that they lend to shops.

Some shops I spoke to also said there would be a charge for getting the sample from the designer which they may pass onto you but the shops I dealt with said they will take that fee off any dress you end up ordering from them - obviously if you don't order then you lose that

Some designers will send out samples on request but not all. You may have to just spend lots of time ringing round shops, once you've looked on the website to see who stocks that designer.
